If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!
I'm tired I got to spend the evening at church, hanging out with little kids and taking them into the bouncy house. Little kids + bouncy houses = a super fun time They thought it was the greatest thing once I bounced with them for a while.
Yay I finally finished a project and submitted it, that I've been working on since Labor day. I am so happy its finally done and submitted, now I can relax (..kinda) and focus on school more
We always put up our tree on the day after Thanksgiving, but this year we'll be visiting family for the holiday. We're too busy these weeks beforehand, so it will have to go up later than normal. I hate breaking tradition!
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. ♡
It started with my mother. When she was alive we would not even go looking for a tree until after Thanksgiving much less put other decorations up. I've continued that tradition. I actually learned it from Nordstrom's (yes, the department store) they don't decorate any of their stores until the day after Thanksgiving. So many stores and home owners put their decorations up before that Thanksgiving is over looked and I think that is completely wrong.

Christmas tree?? You guys do it early We usually cut one the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I put Thanksgiving up last night. I won't put my Christmas decorations up until after Thanksgiving too.
We normally put ours up the week of Thanksgiving too, but we're just going to be way to busy.
This year's decorating has been pretty overwhelming. There is just too much junk everywhere... But yeah, we usually decorate before Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if it was last year, but I know one time we decorated for Christmas like at the beginning of October. Though, it's not so bad because we mix the Christmas with the fall decorations.

I don't think we're going to decorate this year My mom said she's tired of packing and unpacking, and it takes too much work, so maybe I'll just listen to Christmas music all month long instead

That's the thing about decorating, it makes a mess...and then you have to take it all down.

Exactly. And Jake never likes to help decorate, so it's my mom and me, and then just a month or less later, you have to untangle the wires, work, work, and then go back to school.
Maybe I'll just get some of the lights we have in a box

These past few years the girls and I have started hanging multicolored lights up around our room. The effect is awesome! We'll probably put those up in the beginning of December, or right after Thanksgiving - if my sister can help it. Putting the (fake) Christmas tree up - I'll admit - does seem like a lot of work though. We normally put it up after Thanksgiving... sometime...
