I'm about ten pages into Allegiant by Veronica Roth.

I just started reading The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak.

I agree. Insignia was excellent. Vortex was very good, but it could have been better.

The whole it's written from both Tris and Tobias' viewpoints was super confusing as well. I always had to stop and think wha?? Oh yeah, it's Tobias now or vice versa

Allegiant is the book in the trilogy that showcases Roth's lack of writing experience. Divergent wasn't very well written. Insurgent was better. But Allegiant...Veronica failed.

People shouldn't write books from more than one person's POV if they're using first person because it's really hard to make them sound different. And yet, somehow, books like 50 Shades of Gray, Twilight, and the Delirium trilogy get printed

As someone writing a series in first person from multiple points of view... I have to agree. Not to say it's impossible, just that it's really hard to do.

I'm reading Emma by Jane Austen. I'll say no more.

^please, if you possibly can, stop and write it in the third person I considered doing a book in four different 1st person POVs. One is more than enough. It's just next to impossible to pull off perfectly.

Why won't you say anymore? I'm actually reading another Austen work.

I am currently reading The Book Thief by Markus Zuzak. So far, it is one of the best books I have ever read!

I'm currently reading The Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy, I'm on Shiver and they seem like pretty good books.

I've heard a lot about The Book Thief; it sounds really interesting. I should read the Wikipedia summary again for some more details.

I just got finished reading Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath for English. It was actually really good, even if it was a bit too preachy at certain points. (No, Steinbeck was not a socialist; whatever are you talking about? ) But, as I said to my teacher and the class as a whole during a discussion, Steinbeck showing his blue fire did not discount the fact that he had legitimately good points to make about community and the dangers of excessive capitalism. (Says the conservative. )

No, don't do that! You'll spoil the story. Just read the book--I promise that you won't regret it.
