I'm liking the new colors in the TARDIS interior. Makes it more home-y. Also, dinosaurs in london and interuniversal travel. Sounds fun.

I'm in the middle of Angels Take Manhattan, but I already have a theory about Capaldi's Doctor. I know enough about the 50th Anniversary to know that
The Doctor is granted a new regeneration cycle, and doesn't know how to fly the TARDIS
So, in light of the question "Clara, am I a good man?", in addition with the things in the spoiler above, could it be that
with this new regeneration cycle, the Doctor loses all his memories?

Have any of you read the leaked scripts?

That's actually a really interesting theory, Woody. :-k That would certainly make sense.

Also, no leaked script spoilers. :x Or I will cut you.

I personally haven't even gone close to reading them. I despise spoilers. I just heard bad things third hand.

BBC just released a shortened version of the original trailer. Not sure why they did that, but anyway, 1 month until Series 8!

To go back to my theory, if it is indeed right, then I need Clara to say
Run, you clever boy. And remember."

The "Clara, am I a good man" part seemed more like 10's no second chances bit.

He doesn't now how to fly the TARDIS, and he seems to have a bit of memory trouble early on at least.

I'm hoping this is a reference Classic Who! :) Several of the classic Doctors, when they regenerated, went through health probs and mental probs while their body adjusted to the new. Then a couple episodes in they figured themselves out again. ;)

New trailer up:

I think I like this one the most, because as the commenters were saying that the Doctor was saying "listen" to the double heart-beat of the Master.

I just have to say..no matter how many times I watch that, it scares me.
I'm really, really hoping they bring an old master in like an older Doctor.

The new master was good, but the old one is like an evil dictator with a lot of depth. The new master was just a very mixed up man, it seemed like. I don't know, I like them both. :)

Yeah, I watch classic.
I don't hear the double heartbeat. Am I missing something?

Also, why would it just be the Master? Wouldn't all Time Lords have double heartbeats? :-k

That, too. It could just as easily be Romana, Rassilon, The General, The Corsair, Flavia, or that Time Lord Guard that Colin Baker played.

This is completely unrelated to the current discussion, but in the 'Listen' video, isn't he wearing a wedding ring? At first I thought it was the lights behind him, but it consistently stays on his finger.

Yup, he's wearing a ring. :)

That makes me happy.

The ring has nothing to do with the Doctor, just Peter Capaldi. He refuses to take of his wedding ring even when acting.

Hmm. I'm half disappointed, and half impressed. :)
I wonder if they'll incorporate it in at all.

I doubt that. In my opinion, I don't think the writers would want to focus on that simply because he never takes it off. It's Capaldi's thing as an actor. Some actors won't ride horses; Capaldi won't take his ring off. That's just something they wouldn't make him do.

It would be interesting if it was incorporated as a River wedding ring. :-

And I so want a River return. :p
