Here's the proof that you can't read my mind! Thank goodness. Yes, my birthday is in a bit over a month, so there's lots of time to get me something fabulous!
...Wait, nobody plans to do that? Oh dear.
I plan to Catspaw!
SnC, I hope Catspaw says yes!

Can we throw a party for you? Have a whole faction - like you do for the elections - just for your birthday?
My goodness, that sounds like a bit much just for me! It sounds like fun, though, so maybe there's an idea for some current or future campaign - a big birthday celebration for everybody all on one or two days during the year. A big birthday party where everybody is both the guest of honour and a regular guest! That would be better than just focusing on one person. Maybe somebody can take that idea and run with it at some point. Or not. Whatever.

I have never had a topic of that nature that I recall, so I don't know much about how to make them popular. People like prizes and questions that aren't too easy or insanely difficult, so that's all I have to offer.
Joanne wrote:How are Finneman's Market and the HH different? To me they both seem like a place to discus random stuff, but maybe I'm missing something.
Finneman's Market is for more serious threads while HH is for more goofy stuff. That's the difference - if you want to talk about a recent earthquake, Finneman's is the place. If you want to talk about the joys of drinking pink lemonade while jumping on the trampoline, then HH would be a better choice. They are both places where a variety of discussion topics are present, but the ones in FM shouldn't be quite as goofy.

No, not really. I play Nintendo Wii now and then and I have fun when I do play, but I'm not a big fan. There are other ways that I prefer to waste my time.
Mark Prescott wrote:Would it be okay if I opened a shop for smileys?
I guess it would depend on the shop, but if you want to sell smileys that you have created, that has been done in the past (though not recently) and that would be fine. I hope that helps.
If you are not the one making the smilies, then no, that's not allowed, if you're selling them for ToO $.

No, I do not. Unless it is GALAXY, in which case I would like to have a few words with your parents.
Mark Prescott wrote:I mean, I have a site that I get smileys from. Is that okay?
As Dan said, Crestwood is supposed to be a place to sell things that you have made or created in some way. If you're just copying the code from another site, then that might not be the best idea. Could you create your own smileys, or create signatures or avatars or wallpaper or write something? And some imaginative people have come up with other ideas as well! Think about what you're good at that would create something you could share online.
What is leaf fighting, and your not talking about any of mine are you?

Marvin D. wrote:Catspaw,
There was a leaf fighting thread in Gower's Field. Wouldn't that have been spam, since the posts were rather, not long?
That was a long time ago. I have a vague recollection of the thread eventually being shut down or redirected to HH, since the posts were not really falling under the role-playing umbrella, but it was far too long ago for me to be concerned about now.
Connie K. wrote:What is leaf fighting, and your not talking about any of mine are you?
He's referring to a very old thread where people were pretending to throw leaves at each other - hence the leaf fighting name. I'm sure he's not referring to you, since the thread was started way before you even joined the ToO.
