Okay, it’s time to start this off!
Latecomers to the Cumulative Pool can still enter as long as the fee is in to me by season kickoff, but we need to start with the weekly picks now. Note that this season there is Thursday night football every week, so you will need to submit your picks earlier than you used to.

Ryder hasn’t returned yet, so I’ll hold the money for the Weekly Pool for now. We’ll begin momentarily.

Important note: This season, everyone needs to send in their Monday Night score prediction with their weekly fee so there’s no last minute rushing to figure out who needs one, it’s all taken care of. It’s first send first serve, so if someone else has already guessed yours you will be asked to provide another.

Instructions for the season, so everything is clear:

If you’re just doing the Weekly Pool:
Send the scorekeeper (currently, me) $5 and your TCS, and post your picks here.

If you’re just doing the Cumulative Pool:
Your money is already in, so just post your picks. Please include a note that they are for the Cumulative Pool only so they are easily noticeable for scoring.

If you’re doing both Pools:
Send the scorekeeper $5 for the Weekly entry and post your picks. You only need to make one set of picks, unless you want your picks for the Weekly and Cumulative Pools to be different, in which case of course clearly specify which set is for which.

Some notes and such:
If you are just in the Weekly Pool then participation is obviously optional from week to week. Just pay and post when you want to join in. If you are in the Cumulative Pool, you don’t have to participate each week, but you probably want to so you stay up to speed with the other players. If you are in both, you can choose on a certain week to skip on the Weekly Pool and still make picks for your Cumulative entry (or vice versa) as suits your desires, just make it clear what you’re doing when you post.

A reminder:
We have a group on the NFL Picks site (see first post for details) but using it is optional. It’s just to provide an easy tally for whoever does make their picks there. If you don’t have the time or interest in repeating your picks, don’t worry about it. I probably won’t be using that every week myself. The important thing is to post your picks here.

I do want to apologize for not getting on here and starting this sooner - I've been busy with work. Many thanks to Bookworm for getting this started! I'm also sorry for not finishing last years pool. Also, advanced notice: The official announcements of the first couple weeks’ cumulative tallies will likely be delayed as I will be out of state and only online to post my own picks, not score everyone else’s. If this happens, don’t worry, I’m not pulling a Ryder ( ) and letting things back up, I will get to them as soon as I’m able. Three weeks max, I’ll be back home by then. Just go ahead and post your next picks as usual.
