She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

This. ;)

I don't even get why people didn't like the original Cars. Guys, that movie was a masterpiece. Sure, the concept of talking cars was maybe dumb and it got old, but the story of transformation was inspiring and epic. A good movie is about storytelling, and Cars nailed that aspect on every level.
Correct. But that's why the movie was terrible. If the storyline isn't intriguing and interesting, the movie is dull.

The story line was kind of boring. (Not as boring as Bolt was, but still ;) )"Selfish, rude, obnoxious star thinks he's so great, gets taught a lesson by a "cute" little blue car and some random hillbillies. The star is so inspired by the common etiquette and manners lessons (that he should have learned already) from the cars that he goes and wins a big race. Whooooo!!"

:- Yes, I'm being a little harsh, but that's the truth of it.

...and I love debating you, Jelly \:D/

I've been ranting about this film lately, because literally EVERY product in our Wal Mart is slathered with ads for this movie.... Pillows, bikes, cookies, cereal... blah blah blah... ;) I think they must've spent millions advertising this thing.

Pixar movies are ALWAYS advertised MUCH more than actual Disney animation movies. Because Pixar reigns. *I'm not kidding, and many of you know it. Come on, TS3? -_-* Come on, just like in the real world, movie distributors and animations studios and animators compete.

Cars 2 IS everywhere. At least for about four months, Tangled was at a high. Now they just killed it. -_- I cry, because Disney is like... failing me epically in that area. *various reasons*

And gosh, $9.25 for a matinee? Mine is... $7.50, and then $9.50 for an after... 6 pm showing, I believe. Then again, this is a small town. I noticed when I went to two Regal movie theaters, one in Portland, and another close to my actual home near Portland, one matinee was $7.50, and another $8.00. Depends on the area, and the demand I would say.

Ouch for Cars 2 on RT... especially when it takes a lot of Top Critics voices and puts them in. Many rotten. I just don't think Pixar chose wisely for a sequel. Now, Monsters Inc. 2 is supposed to be a prequel... so, who knows what might happen. Brave doesn't looking that exciting, honestly. But, we'll see what the trailers say. The teaser was... not that exciting.

I may never see Cars 2... just because I don't really want to.

$9.50 for our matinee. ;)

Even though no one seems to expect much, I'm still going to go see it with the kid's group at my church. \:D/

I would like to point out the fact that the movie did not end this way. Watch it again and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

34%, ouuuucch! Thankfully the moviegoing public likes it more.

Disney bought Pixar in 2006, so it's technically Disney.

No because the Disney people know better than to mess with the Pixar people. And they definitely wont now that John Lasseter is in charge of Disney. So technically they own it. But its still different.

But I'm not quite sure about Monsters 2.

I really do not want to see Cars 2 that much, but I will probably end up watching it anyway. It does look like a very interesting movie. I guess I'll have to see until I watch it.

I saw it yesterday. After reading several reviews, I was prepared for disappointment, but I loved it! The action, the suspense, the great characters, it was great! I loved Mater and Finn. The Toy Story short was great too.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm pretty sure most of negative reviews are due to the fact that everyone's measuring it up to Pixar's standards. If the movie was Dreamworks or something, I'm sure it would get mostly positive reviews, because it sounds like a fun, relatively good film. But Pixar's created a high standard for themselves, and apparently they're not capable of living up to the high expectations every time. :(

Agreed, but I do think it will be better than some of Pixar's movies (PluggedIn or WALL-E for me, which are still B+).

This picture alone makes me want to watch it. \:D/
