Summer Reading Contest
Hrm, I might be interested, but I'll be gone for a few weeks and may not have enough books of interest. I could read that TV repair manual from the 70's...

Reading, Reading, Reading! HUZZAH, sign me up. (I will stomp you all into the dirt with this contest.) Is this all just going to be on an honor system, cause I could just lie (I'm not going to, books are to sacrade(sp) to me) about how many pages I read.

My old 1970s paperback version of LOTR has about the same number of words per page as my 1st edition copies of Passages.Pseudonym wrote:Except... a page of LOTR does not equal a page of Passages. The size of the type varies greatly from different books. No page will be the same.

Plus, LOTR is just so much more captivating... That more than makes up for it!

Not dead yet.

I rarely participate in stuff because I don't want it to look unfair if I win, but I love to read, and I definitely want to be part of the summer reading contest!
I was quite distraught when I got too old for the one at my public library.
I read less now than I used to, but I'm looking forward to the book-related discussions, as well as having an extra motivation to read more and be on the internet less.

I've been meaning to read LOTR ever since the first movie came out. Still hasn't happened yet.
