I am almost finished with The Horse and His Boy. \:D/

And the best part is that it had been so long since I had last read it that I had forgotten the outcome! :D

She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

^I started that a while ago, but I didn't get very far. I should read those books again; it's been a long time. And I've only read them once.

Dark Lord of Derkholm. It's much more tongue-in-cheek than it looks.

I finished the Lynn Austin book and it was excellent as always. I am now reading Lady in Waiting by Susan Meissner. It is a contemporary/historical. The historical part is set during the time of Lady Jane Grey. This is the first book that I've read by Ms. Meissner and it is excellent so far.

Oh, Laurie, I want to read that book! I've read a few books by Susan Meissner that were good, including another contemporary/historical one called "Shapes of Mercy" that was really thought-provoking and interesting. You might enjoy it! :D

I just finished "Whirlwind" by Cathy Marie Hake. I've read it before, but it's worth re-reading!

I thought I had bought a copy of Shades of Mercy but I can't find it, so I ordered another one. I'll have it on Wednesday. :D Lady in Waiting is excellent so far. Well worth the time, I highly recommend it.

I am reading Stepping Heavenward by Mrs. E Prentiss. Very good book... It's her journal from 16 and, since I haven't finished it, I'm guessing until she dies. Very intriguing.

I finished Lady in Waiting and it was excellent, I loved it!!! I highly recommend it. Next up for me is Within My Heart by Tamera Alexander. It is the third (and I think sadly final) book in her Timber Ridge Reflections trilogy.

Laurie, you're reading the books that I want to read right now! I will definitely look for "Lady in Waiting" - thanks for the recommendation! I'm also waiting to read the new Tamera Alexander book - I really have enjoyed the other books I read by her.

Last night I finished re-reading "In Sheep's Clothing" by Susan May Warren. I love her books! I'm probably going to re-read the next book in the series, "Sands of Time," next. :D I'm also reading a non-fiction book (shocking, I know!) called "Punished by Rewards" by Alfie Kohn. It's very interesting so far - if you're interested in reading about ideas about how to effectively and ethically motivate people by encouraging intrinsic motivation instead of solely using extrinsic motivation. I've only read the first chapter so far, but it's very intriguing.
