I went to Bolt last night with my brother... and my dad decided to join in on the party. Haha. I can't disagree with Jugglah's remarks about John Lasseter's role in creating the film. It very much felt like a Pixar movie. Fun story, great characters, and an extremely vibrant color palette. I certainly wasn't expecting Bolt to have as much humor as it did. Even though there were only nine or ten other people in the theatre, we were all cracking up throughout the film.

Rhino was hilarious. :hilarious:

It sounds like Bolt is better than I expected it to be after seeing the trailer! I'll have to see it sometime.

I watched Joyeux Noel over the last few days in a history class - it's about a ceasefire that happened in some of the trenches on Christmas Eve in 1914, during WWI. They focus on the Scottish, French and German troops in one area, though I think they combined some stories from a few different similar ceasefire stories that soldiers shared through letters back home. It's supposed to be quite historically accurate, and it has subtitles for all the German and French that's spoken. It was really good - some war stuff and one scene that I would have skipped if I was watching it on my own, but very interesting overall! I'm glad that I got to see it.

Game Plan. It was really funny. And the song "Feelin' So Fly" by Tobymac on it was cool \:D/

Flyboys was pretty awesome. If you be a fan of WWI or WWII type movies, you'll enjoy this movie.

Was Warzone really that great, Top? I haven't even seen the first one.

Hmmm. Anyone who is either a fan of the comic or of over the top violence should enjoy it... ;) Which I realize doesn't leave many people on this board who would like it. :anxious:

I recommend the 2004 version, too... although it was a lighter on action and blood (though enough to get an R rating, but just barely I think), it had a more developed story and was a fun film.

The 1989 film is entertaining as well but... eh. ;) I won't not recommend it but I wouldn't consider it high class entertainment, either. ;)

Much like The Incredible Hulk compared to the older Hulk film, though... its more of a reboot than a sequel, it just doesn't dwell on his origin.

I was contemplating renting that title this evening, but given that it had Patrick Stewart in it, I opted for avoiding bitter disappointment and chose the classic Scrooged instead!
