What books are you reading?

In the same vein as movie/music threads...

"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. We've got books on flossing teeth, plus three books on tossing sheep. If we spent our lives just counting books, we'd never get to sleep!" -Leopold the Librarian ("The Great Wishy Woz")

I just got hooked on the Ramona books, and it's so much fun! I also really enjoy the stuff by Andrew Clements. So awesome!

I've already read the Circle trilogy, but I want to read Green sometime. But I think I'll try and pick up Fellowship of the Ring again, since I'm not far into it.

In the middle of Ramona Quimby, Age 8. Yeah, I know--I'm reading books intended for third-graders when I'm on a post-college reading level. But a lot of post-college reading level books tend to seem dark and/or depressing. So it's back to the basics for me! \:D/

good choice! I read those books as a kid, and now I want to see the movie. hopefully with Liz, but it'll have to wait till she comes back in two whole weeks.

I want to see the movie so bad! It really looks good--it's one of those few movies these days that gets a good Plugged In review.

I'm now on Ramona's World, and the friendship between Ramona and Daisy always reminds me of me and my best friend--except that we've been best friends since kindergarten.

Tiger, there's nothing wrong with enjoying quality children's literature! :D Some of it is a lot better than the allegedly essential reading out there. ;)

I'm reading "Too Good to be True" by Trish Perry. It's the sequel to her other book, "The Guy I'm Not Dating" with the main characters from that book becoming side characters in this one, and a side character from the first book becoming the main character. It isn't quite as funny as the first one, but it has been good so far.

Reading Ramona's World at this point; I haven't gotten far along though, because of my summer reading project on Maximum Ride. :x

I'm halfway through Infidel by Ted Dekker and just started "Serenity", the book off the movie. :P I've been in this Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Firefly funk.. meaning, I'm watching a lot of hulu... lol. Castle, Chuck... Stargate. I'm having fun reading too. I'm reading a book called "Nurse"... can't remember whom by. It's not bad... gives me an opening eye to nursing. Sort of.

Yeuck. *shudders* Is that the new one by Wayne Thomas Batson? I love that guy, but a series about SPIDERS? :noway:

Over my trip to NY, I read through all the Laura Ingalls Wilder book, Pride and Prejudice, and the first book in C.S.Lewis' Space Trilogy. (I've since started the second book in the afore mentioned series and Jane Eyre). \:D/

Totally. See linkage above. \:D/

I finished Artemis Fowl and the Atlantis Complex, so now I've got a couple random stories to read and maybe I'll continue Burn by Ted Dekker or Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, or maybe something else if I feel like it.. :-k
