Yeah, there's a lot of action, but there's a lot of humor, as well. That's why I like it. That's also why I didn't like The Legend of Zorro. Well, that and the fact that the villian is portrayed as a psychopathic Christian.

Fireproof! Beautiful movie. It did get a little preachy sometimes, but I don't mind that. I guess there are a lot of people around who need to get preached at about how to treat their spouses. Anyway, great movie - go see it.

Batman Begins. I didn't get all the way through it before Jim went weird with the power and the TV went off. And I was half paying attention at the same time, and I got the gist of Batman and all... so, I sent it back, and my sister's Eureka is on the way...
Next movie will be A Knight's Tale... now I wish I could have seen that one in English class instead of The Princess Bride... it would have been so much easier, and funner! YEAH! But, well, some things that make it PG-13, and that can't be watched at an Adventist school.. blah those rules! AH!

Then what, DAM? Brokeback Mountain? If I could have ever idolized Ledger, his willingness to be involved in a movie like that definitely made me not.
Oh, boy. I've had my say, and now I'm gonna be in big trouble for it. Reflective shield up!

You guys all need... a little less assumption? You all assume... I love it! No, not really...
Hmm... I finally watched part of The Patriot Right before sissy came back down and took TV back.. I do her laundry! (and everything else in this house... I want my TV! And computer.. and Alisha's has DVD.. OH YES!!!!!!!! I love having a computer come tomorrow.. SWEET!)
In answer, Jugglah, I've wanted to see A Knight's Tale long before this little... weird thing about Ledger. I just never got the chance till I moved up here to Walla Walla and got netflix with relatives. I added a few movies to the list, and now must wait patiently for my sister to watch hers, and I can get back to my list... I've waited too long with Aunt and Uncle..
Unfortunately, I have yet to decide if I want to see Brokeback Mountain. EVERYONE has been very clear to point out that it's about gays, duh! Knew that probably BEFORE them... but, well, I do think that they are wrong, but it is their life. WHO are WE to judge? God is the only ONE who can judge us. We have NOT ONE RIGHT to judge anyone else. So, none of that really bothers me... I mean, I respect gays and lesbians. I know these are all people who are like.. susperstars, but Ellen Degeneres, Clay Aiken, Lance Bass... I respect them. Yeah, I don't know them, but I still respect them. It is thier choice, and I have NO RIGHT to judge them.
But, if I ever get the guts to actually watch Brokeback Mountain, it might be after I get over the fact that there are more interesting movies out there...
So, your assumption, my dear Jugglah, is wrong. I've wanted to see A Knight's Tale for some time now... and yeah, so what with whatever is going on in my life. Do you know what is going on? No... you al assume. Maybe you should know me and understand me before you all... assume and critize. And maybe I should take my own advice.
Amor, Dan.

Ok, cool. I understand what you're saying. I can't say I agree, completely, but I understand. But I don't know if people who are really misguided deserve respect. I think they deserve compassion, but if people tiptoe around respecting them, then they might never realize that they are in the dark.
And I'm sorry to assume things about you. I certainly like actors that have done movies that are objectionable. Not quite so damaging to the moral structure of this country...but still objectionable.
And yes, I know this is a movie thread, I'll put it back on track. The last movie a saw was still Fireproof. (I need to rent something. Iron Man's coming out soon, right?)

I haven't actually watched my DVD of
Iron Man yet, just the special features...
Last movie we watched was
What Happens in Vegas... I dunno I didn't go in with high expectations but it actually was pretty amusing.
