When I talked to Josh last night he said he's still in Amsterdam NY, until Sunday (which is his birthday).

When I talked to Josh last night he said he's still in Amsterdam NY, until Sunday (which is his birthday).

What she said, except I meant we leave on Wednesday. Our car broke down when we were going to church so we ended up going to the church where we're staying at and on Monday we went to a Memorial Day thing at the town hall next door. There were DONUTS! erm. .then we went to a parade in the village and got lots of candy. We also handed out leftover donuts and one lady called me "the cutest thing"
Today we went to the Saratoga National Park. It was so stinking hot and humid! However, there was a severe thunderstorm alert so we had to be careful. Yesterday I saw the hugest lightning bolt I have ever seen, so. .
We made it back and played Wii at the friends who took us, then went to pick up our car. The shy was greenish and the wind was howling
After getting back,we found out that Jake and I heeded to move rooms because of a leak in the bathroom. Si we sspent the last 3 hours moving all our stuff and food across the hall. .and then had to move the bed and refridgerator.

Today the fire alarm sounded. It is a noisy, bothersome thing that goes on and on. Today, it started again, and as it happens often, we paid little attention. Until the fire tricks drove by. Apparently it was.on this road. We thought little of it until. .we were asked to move out of the apartment room we had just moved into yesterday because the family just next door from the church couldn't stay at their house because of the fire. So Jake and I had to move all our things. .again and the fridge and bed as well. .
Imagine my surprise when I found out they were from the church! It turns out the storm yesterday was worse than we thought. We had a tornado not too far away, but lightning struck in their yard. Apparently it hit the underground wires, worked its way up, and started cooking the electric wiring all night until it smiled up and caught fire. Fortunately God protected everyone and we're all safe and sound. .and tired
tomorrow is swimming and dinner at some friends

My, my. What an adventure!

I don't know how loud your fire alarm sounds, but when ours goes off, it echoes through the hall. It's rather ear-splitting, and kitty runs for cover.

We had a friend from Massachusetts come over for the weekend, and she brought her little black dog His name was Bandit, and he's a Shih Tzu. We stopped at THE Orange County Choppers in Newburgh yesterday, and took pictures, of course For my birthday, a friend of ours made a cake* for me and we went to Ruby Tuesday and then came back for the cake. The people whose house caught fire earlier this week came over a little bit and I got a gift card to Walmart

Overpriced? You mean you had to pay to get in? I was like nine or ten so I don't recall that fact. Of course, that was many years ago, so they might have changed a bit.
