What books are you reading?
In the same vein as movie/music threads...
Last night I started Stepping Heavenward: One Woman's Journey to Godliness by Elizabeth Prentiss. A good friend lent it to me and I'm excited because (1) it's the first book I'm reading for leisure in a long time and (2) I think it will provide a strong biblical feminine example for me to follow.
Someday by Karen Kingsubry. I love all her books.

That's a great book - it's been quite a while since I've read it, but I remember that it was a convicting and encouraging story.Taq wrote:Last night I started Stepping Heavenward: One Woman's Journey to Godliness by Elizabeth Prentiss. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. ♡
^I totally just finished that book! It was really good, and I hope you like it too. I want to read the next one now, having finished the first one in 2 days

I don't particularly care for reading. I only write.
A Distant Melody by Sarah Sundin. It's a new author, first in a series and the story is set during WWII. Very good so far. I'm not very far along since I have not had much time for reading this week.
"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." Abraham Lincoln
The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens. It was a bit slow going at first, but now I'm quite enjoying it. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
