The album is set to release in April 2012. So assuming all goes as planned, it should release around May of the same year.Jesus' Princess wrote:I'm definitely excited for album 55! When is it airing again?

Yes, but if you don't want to wait as long, you can always get the digital download in February 2012.Jesus' Princess wrote:Oh, so there is kind of a long wait then!RyanCummings wrote:The album is set to release in April 2012. That reminded me of Father of the Bride II with Steve Martin. That was his exact line. heeheeAmerican Eagle wrote:Katrina: "I'M PREGNANT."Peachey Keen wrote:Eugene and Katrina hear unsettling news about their future.

A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man would have to seek Him to find her.

Okay, seriously, this joke needs to stop. i am getting sick thinking about how messed up this is.

I know all of you are just messing around, but the fact is that if something like that happened, it would seriously shake up the series (and provide us with the most mature episode(s) in Odyssey history, with the possible exception of "Pamela has a Problem").
It would open the door for a look at an extremely serious issue, and I dare say it would retroactively affect every episode in history featuring Katrina, since you would know what she ended up doing later on. It would permanently taint people's perceptions of her character, so that I don't think the AIO team could use her much afterwards -- or for that matter Eugene, since the issue of what happened with his wife would always be hovering over him. Plus, it would mean that less mature listeners would miss a huge story arc, and if the AIO team did anything else in the same episodes, they would miss all of that too. It would also make them wonder why Eugene and Katrina dropped off the radar (if they weren't allowed to listen to the episodes that explained it).
Finally, if it was released on the radio, they'd need to have Paul McCusker come on and give a "go get your parents, no, I'm serious, we're not kidding this time" notice and take about five minutes explaining why they decided to make such a plot before each episode, which would definitely cut down on air time. This problem could be solved if it was restricted to a CD/DVD special collection, though, like with the Truth Chronicles -- which is probably appropriate. I'd say that this "story arc" wouldn't be Odyssey, but that it would just happen to have the same characters as Odyssey, for the simple fact that the age range is elevated to 16-30-somethings (young adults and long-time Odyssey listeners) instead of its traditional audience.
One thing's for sure: If such a plot was developed, it wouldn't classify as "entertainment".

Hearing old Katrina episodes would be like watching old Chris Benoit matches!

If Whit was the father the show would be over. Maybe something less extreme. Like Katrina and Eugene are having a baby. But it could kill Katrina. So they have to decide whether to abort or not.

Abort half of the baby so they both live halfway. The wisdom of Solomon!

This is off topic. So, I definitely hope that Album 55 lives up to my expectations. This is going to be the fifth album since the relaunch. And they will no longer have that excuse. They really have a chance to let us feel the characters. And I hope they will.
