What books are you reading?

In the same vein as movie/music threads...

"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. We've got books on flossing teeth, plus three books on tossing sheep. If we spent our lives just counting books, we'd never get to sleep!" -Leopold the Librarian ("The Great Wishy Woz")

I read "On a Whim" by Robin Jones Gunn today - it's the second book in the Katie Weldon series. It makes me want to read lots of other books by the same author, since so many of them are connected! \:D/

Ooh! Beowulf is awesome, though..seriously, get the cliff notes to help you through parts. :anxious:
Alsooo....Frankenstein is amazing too, except for like- the bland middle part where the doctor goes and has a pity-party for himself for like...100 pages. :-

I am reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini \:D/ , The Fellowship of the Ring, Mere Christianity, Otherland Volume One: The City of Golden Shadow by Tad Williams (Not for younger readers, but a fantastic fantasy/sci-fi. It is definitely not a Christian book, fyi.), and I will be reading an Irresistable Revolution by.. someone else.

I know that it has been a while since I posted in here but it has been hard finding books that I can read all the way through. I just finished a book called "The Gospel According to Mark" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, which is part of the Jesus Chronicles series. It took me longer than usual to finish it but I finished it! Normally for a LaHaye/Jenkins it takes me 7-10 days to finish but this one took me a month! It wasn't as good as other books I have read where I couldn't put it down but I have read more boring works as well (i.e. Introduction to Biology, Hamlet or Brave New World).

Two Girls of Gettysburg by Lisa Klein. It's an historical novel set during the Civil War that focuses on two girl cousins one from the South and the other from the North. Very good so far.
