What have you bought lately?
Today I bought a can of pizza Pringles and a pack of gum, then 2 McDonald's burgers for lunch.

Today I bought a set of twenty, woodless colored pencils! I'm so excited to get home and use them!

Thanks to my Secret Santa for the set!

The last thing I bought was a Dr. Pepper at Panera's while I was discussing a lesson with another fellow Bible study leader. I love that shop.

SnC Forever. Miss you still.
Would you believe? I've never (to my knowledge) set foot in a Panera's before. The Kings Daughter wrote:The last thing I bought was a Dr. Pepper at Panera's while I was discussing a lesson with another fellow Bible study leader. I love that shop.

(uh-oh... does that make me sound low-class? Or is day-old bread acceptable to society?)

It's a fancy bread shop/cafe place.Jesus' Princess wrote:I've never even heard of Panera's beforeLee wrote:Would you believe? No, day old bread doesn't sound low class to me
*wipes sweat off brow* Good.

I've never been to Panera either but our church gets their day-old bread, cookies, pasties etc. every Sunday. It's pretty nice, to have free cookies for breakfast!Lee wrote:Would you believe? I can't think of anything. Well, I went out to eat and got a Wendy's baconator (they rock), Coke (lol it's actually diet coke.) and some fries.

I love pens.

My favorites are Sharpie Pens and V2 rollerballs. If you've never used a Sharpie Pen, you have no idea what writing experience you're missing. They are amazing.

The last things I bought were some Valentine presents.

I bought some clothes online from Ricki's today. I like shopping online...a little too much sometimes.
You can get some good deals online, though, without the hassle of having to go to the store. I found two nice sweaters on good sales, which made me happy. I'm always cold, so I love sweaters! As long as you're shopping at a store with a good return policy, online shopping is good.

I just started going last year when I had to meet with other leaders.

Yes! As does our church, and the one where we do a youth program. It's really awesome Panera's will allow that

Are you meaning your youth program gets their day-old stuff too?

Well you know that our church is really small, so we also do activities with another church, and they also have it.Lee wrote:I know. The Kings Daughter wrote:Lee, your life is incomplete.Lee wrote:Would you believe? And now there's no Panera's where we live.

Got a cappucino at 6am.

Maybe I'm just too paranoid, but I keep thinking that the things online would end up arriving looking completely different than in the catalog...Catspaw wrote:I bought some clothes online from Ricki's today. Anyways, purchases. Uh, I bought a Macbook Air yesterday after selling my older, white Macbook on Craigslist. So I didn't end up shelling out too much for it, which was nice. And, as excessively girly as this sounds, I love that my computer now fits in my handbag and I don't have to carry an extra laptop bag around.

As for the poll hypothetical, I may be over-analyzing this, but I would take the $25,000. Why? Because I could use some of the cash to buy the Odyssey items. The car would also be a bad call, because a new, $30k car will immediately depreciate in value about $10k when you drive it off the lot, and attempting to trade it back in to the dealer for cash would probably net less than $25k.
Finally, a private, cash gift of $25k is sort of untraceable, whereas the IRS would definitely find out if someone gave me a $30k car.
