Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!
Honestly, I don't expect a 10 year old girl to be flirting.
I voted for she can get quite annoying, but I survive.

Wow! My first 2 page topic! Thanks, guys! I never imagined I'd get this many comments! Sad, right? I voted for "I like her". I'm 10, so I don't pay much attention to flaws.

She's supposed to be the same age as Matthew, correct? I was under the impression that Camilla is about 8, Olivia was supposedly 12ish, and Matthew was in between.

According to the wiki, Olivia is 11 and Matthew is 10. Although I don't think her voice sounds that young either, I just had heard she was that age when her bio first came out when the Parkers were introduced.

You're not supposed to, SWA. That's the whole idea.

I agree, she's getting better as time goes on..actually most of them are.
I'm really warming up to Barrett especially. He's gotten much more mature and likeable than in "Game For A Mystery", where apparently Andy Pesoa was under the impression that the listeners were hard of hearing (either that, or whoever directed the episode has no faith in our self-control as to how loud we play our music). Now he sounds much more like a mature, adorkable goofball. Ryan's just given me warm fuzzies from the beginning.

I wonder why? They've always used young boys (or, in Rodney's case, adults that can sound like young boys).

Exactly. But I mean, you can get a teenaged boy to play the role, or a male adult who can do it. But why get a female adult to play a 12-year old boy? Both of them sound unnatural.

Sometimes it works, like if you're never planning to use the character again. And I'm not slamming Georgina Cordova; she does a great job as Nelson. I just think it's really odd.

Well, maybe when they first introduced Nelson, there wasn't anybody else available to act for him, so the team got her, and they decided to keep using Cordova?

Maybe so. Again, it just seems strange to me. And it takes strange to know strange, so I get what I'm talking about.

Exactly this. You've perfectly expressed my opinion on both characters.
On the subject of Emily, I didn't particularly care for her when she was first introduced, but I convinced myself to not form a negative opinion, because I was just so enthusiastic about any new Odyssey episodes and didn't want to mar my happiness. Now, I've warmed to her a bit more, accepted her faults you could say. She's unlikely to ever be a favourite of mine, but hey, I couldn't stand Grady for years before I warmed to him.
