If you like "Eye of the Tiger", then you need to listen to Echoes the Fall's version of it.
Nope. My dad used to listen to all that stuff though. Bee-gees, Abba (I think that was a bit before the 80's though, actually) and all that wonderful er, music as you could call it! No offenses intended.Galaxy X wrote:Yes, Ever heard of a band called "Yes" from the 80's? Check them out.KelitaArcher wrote:80's? LOL. Have you heard "Eye of the Tiger"? XD.
Ouch!gunblader3 wrote:Heavy Metal
Never heard of them. I was just joking a bit with Galaxy X, since he said he liked 80's stuff. LOL, Eye of the Tiger may be the only song from the period I like, but only a tad. Well, ok, kind of cheesy but it's not too bad I suppose.Termite wrote:If you like "Eye of the Tiger", then you need to listen to Echoes the Fall's version of it.
Mostly on fiddle, but I can do guitar backup too. The Reels are so fun to play, I love itKelitaArcher wrote:Play Celtic? On what instrument?

I wouldn't say that, he's electronic, there's like a million of them out there.Steve wrote:Owl City is totally it's own genre. And one of the few I listen to!Amethystic wrote:Rock-alternative, show tunes, and Owl City.

Have you heard of Indie Vision Music?
"Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service and "Echo of Love" by An Epic no Less come to mind. I could go on though.Termite wrote:Give us a band and song that sounds like Owl City. With the same epic lyrics.
THERE IS NO OTHER.

The first time I heard The Postal Service I thought it was a really bad Adam Young recording. A couple of songs have grown on me since then, but their music still lacks the lyrical and musical excellence that Owl City possesses. I'm listening to "Echo of Love", and it's kind of catchy, but again, not nearly as good as Owl City. I see similarities, but in my mind there's no comparison; Owl City stands out from the rest. (Note: I have found, however, that Owl City does tend to find more favor with people who pay more attention to lyrics. It has that extra poetic 'oomph', so to speak.)The Hippie wrote:"Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service and "Echo of Love" by An Epic no Less come to mind. Or it could have the opposite affect. Some people don't like fluffy, light lyrics that sound like they're out of a children's book.Amethystic wrote:The first time I heard The Postal Service I thought it was a really bad Adam Young recording.
