Church Camp!!!!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I didn't go to church camp, but it is a Christian camp in Northern Michigan called Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge. It's the best camp ever!! I was a camper for a long time, then staff member in various positions...love it SO much! It's a bit more camp-y than some church camps cause it's more rustic (cabins, little electricity, etc) and it's awesome to get away and just be out in the woods with a big sky full of stars above you. There's no church--but we worship in the dining hall after breakfast and dinner, then usually at a campfire with devotions in the evening. Depending on what week of camp you go to, you can take different classes (there's science camp where you get a couple science classes and an activity class) and other camp weeks where it's all different activity classes like canoeing, archery, riflery, crafts, swimming, etc, etc...so if you're ever in the area, you should definitely try it!!

On Monday, I go to youth camp and then the week after I go to Adult camp. The camps are in the Pilgrim Holiness denomination. In fact Odysseyfan1 goes to PYC as well.

Schedule
7:00 Rising Bell (I get up at 5:00)
7:15 Staff Devotions
8:00 Team Devotions
8:30 Breakfast
9:30 Bible Bowl
10:30 Morning Session (Morning Sermon)
12:00 Light Lunch (Very light, lol)
12:30 Recreation (Softball and volleyball)
3:45 Chow Time (Supper, usually don't feel like eating after being outside in 90 degree weather)
5:00 Memory Verse Recitation (From morning session)
6:30 Inspiration Service
7:00 Evangelical Service
Afterglow (after service, activities such as tug-a-war)
11:00 Lights Out (Depending on the dorm supervisor, mine just said to be quite and turn out the main lights but could have cell phones on and could talk as long as we wanted)

Our little "snack stand-esque thing" is in a large building with rooms. I get to sleep in one of the rooms, therefore I have faster access that most other people to get CANDY! :p

Now that's what I'm talking about. It also means you can take everyone's favorite candy and hide it or buy it and eat it!
