Buut... The animation just looks...
I'm not sure that's the kind of inner child we're talking about...
The animation is very stylized. Stylization, is in fact more sophisticated and more ideal for a TV budget. Stylization is an elimination of non-essential visuals to promote the message of the artist in a more efficient manner, in this case the message being story, plot, character, music and a specific type of humor. In addition, stylization creates a unique visual not seen anywhere else.

I love this show... started watching it with the little kids I used to babysit, who really liked the show. Because of that I've always had a special place in my heart for Perry the Platypus and Doofenschmirtz Evil Incorporated!
I like the silliness, and Phineas and Ferb's imagination. If it was just Phineas and Ferb (no platypus or Doofenschmirtz) it'd be a bit of a boring show, but it's very
.

I saw the Christmas special. 'Twas awesome. I choked up when Santa read Phineas's letter. Phineas, you are awesome. Almost as awesome as Perry.

I saw the Christmas special two days ago--it waz AWESOME. The songs made it all the best, and I liked the running gag about the clubhouse. The Christmas-ized opening theme was one of my favorites.

Kind of like Santa's surveillance operatives.

Santa doesn't need operatives.
Proof.

Note the operative "almost." None can hope to be as beastly and awesome as Perry the Platypus.

its a great show, maybe not one I would particularly want to watch, but it definitely beats some the shows out there geared for kids, way better than spongebob

True that.
Not even Chuck Norris.
Except maybe Carl.
