But wouldn't the dust, like, be bad for the books? :sniff:
Oh, only your books. My books will be fine and dust-free.

The page count winner isn't determined by time on the ToO, but by how much you read. And if you wanted to enter the weekly drawings, you'd only need to get on and post once a week. Other than that, it depends on you. :)

No, you can read whatever you want. There will be some criteria on what does and doesn't count, but since we're looking at page count and not number of books read, it makes sense to let everyone read what they want.

Except... a page of LOTR does not equal a page of Passages. :anxious: The size of the type varies greatly from different books. No page will be the same.

But smaller pages often have smaller words.

I see your point, but we couldn't change things without either taking the fun out of the contest or setting up an impossible system. I wouldn't want to assign a list of books that everyone had to read because then it would look too much like school. Now if the grand prize were an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii or something, then it would be different. ;)

I would sign up, but considering that I haven't read a single book (except for the Bible) in like months, I don't think it would be a very good idea. :p

That's usually me during the school year, but what better time than summer to break out the books you want to read? :p And oh, the Bible counts. :)
