I know of know such people
but I have wished my entire life that I might be so fortunate as to meet someone of that profession. If it weren't for some personal convictions I have about working in such an envirnment, heck, I'd work there myself (I was a manager a Blockbuster for a while...)

I saw it tonight. I thought it was great... though a little bit long. I definitely thought they could have cut out some stuff and shaved potentially a half hour off the film, without losing anything important... and then release this version as the extended edition. However, I thought the effects for King Kong were tremendous. He looked great and I definitely think the movie as a whole was really enjoyable. I wasn't a big fan of the King Kong movies going in, but this movie made me interested in revisiting the older classics.
Definitely worth seeing at least once, though like the Lord of the Rings movies, I probably won't be watching this movie very often just because it takes so much time to do so .

They are better than the originals!!
I just saw in the store the other day a glorious King King three pack!!!
-King Kong (the original)
-King Kong Returns (or something like that)
-Mighty Joe Young (starring and directed by the same guy as in King Kong)
Yeah, I'd like to pick that up eventually... although I think you mean "Son of Kong" rather than "King Kong Returns"...
Apparenly Peter Jackson did his own take on the "spider pit scene" that was cut and destroyed in the original Kong because it caused audiance members to vomit and be overly disgusted. I'm glad his "Dead Alive" roots are still guiding him!

I can't wait to see the extended when it comes out. They better have one, there was a "snake pit scene" that was in the original... but at the screening people threw up so they took it out! I can't wait for the extended unrated director's cut!

Correction. It was not a "snake pit." It was a "spider pit," and it was in the theatrical cut. The place with those nasty worm thingies. I'm still hoping for an extended cut, though. Also, Peter Jackson, for the re-release of the 1933 version, had the spider pit sequence redone in stop-motion for inclusion with it.
I really want to see it. I think I'll go with my bro's sometime this week. So overall you guys think it's good?
