Is the faction cost still the same?

Faction costs will go back to what they were when the ToO first started - $5,000 per faction. You have to really want the faction and have plenty of support, which is the way they were originally intended to be anyway.

Oh yeah I forgot it was raised to begin with... I guess at that point there was so much money no one cared.

Don't you think the election fee ($4,000) is very high? People have $5,372 total in the bank, and about that much on-hand. That is about $10,750. In other words, there's no possible way that three teams can run, and the other two teams have to get nearly everyone's money.

You'll be surprised how much money is earned just by posting in a month.

But people still have almost 3 weeks to get the fee in. The fee doesn't have to be in today. The point is to make sure that the teams that do run actually have lots of support going in. At the beginning, the point was to make sure teams had support, because if you don't want a team to win, you won't donate them your hard-earned money. Eventually, money lost a lot of its value, and a team might be able to largely cover their own campaign fee and therefore did not require much (or any) support. This changes that back to the way it should be. People still have lots of time to make money and donate to campaigns, and this keeps the surplus funds fairly low at the beginning. Teams will have to be at the top of their game to make sure they're appealing enough to people to get their support in the form of financial support, as well as the other great things people do for the team they want to win. That can only be a good thing!
