I finished A Woman's Place by Lynn Austin, it was excellent. Next I am starting Whispers of Winter by Tracie Peterson. It is the final book in her Alaskan Quest series.

"Persuasion" by Jane Austen. I'm really enjoying it!

I haven't read it before, which is kind of fun, since I don't know exactly what will happen.

Oooh, you made a good choice, Catspaw! I've read most of Jane Austen's books, and Persuasion is my second favorite.
Pride and Prejudice is, of course, numero uno

That is a most excellent choice of books!

I love kids books! I recently bought "I'm So Embarassed!" by Robert Munsch just for fun. His books all rock!

And I read the book to my Mom (talk about a switch!

) and now sometimes I say a line from there when it seems funny and we can both laugh.

I just read that, as I'd heard about it for a long time. I enjoyed it. It's rather tragic...

Don't tell anyone.... *looks around* But I'm re-reading the Boxcar children series.

I'm reading them because I'm so tired that I want something that will take little effort to read.

I so remember that series. I read some of them when I was younger and then I introduced them to my little sister. I think I read the first few books of that series to her when she was younger and little. Didn't I, Macnut?
It's a great series. And you're right, your brain can rest and simply enjoy everything.

I read a bunch of the Boxcar children books - those are great!

I haven't read any of them in years, but now I feel like reading some again.

It's nice to read something light sometimes!
