Progress Report: July 19-25

I'm going to go ahead and post my progress report now since I likely won't have much of an opportunity to get online on Saturday.

My goals for this week were fairly simple:
  • Run 5K+ twice
  • Do 50 push-ups daily
  • Do 50 sit-ups daily
I held off running until this past Thursday, considering this week was a rather busy one with my brother's birthday, working on a video project, and getting ready to go on vacation. \:D/ A lower than normal amount of exercise all week, but certainly no time wasted. :noway:

Here's what I did achieve.
  • July 19: 10 minutes of biking, 90 minutes of reffing
  • July 20: 120 minutes of ultimate frisbee
  • July 21: 90 minutes of reffing
  • July 22: 90 minutes of reffing
  • July 23: 90 minutes of reffing, 33 minutes of running
  • July 19-23: 15 minutes of push-ups and sit-ups
Total: 538 minutes

3 hours of marching band, it was really from 8-4, but I'm not counting indoor rehearsal time.

Note to all band geeks: when it's 93 degrees at band camp, don't drink Mt. Dew at lunch. :anxious:

I found a beautiful 12.5 mile park trail loop, so I'm hoping that I can bike that tomorrow - weather permitting. Current goal is 60 minutes combined exercise per day with an emphasis on running/biking.

Current running speed is approx. 3.5-4K/hr and I'd like to see that pushed to 5K/hr by the end of the contest. Again, we'll see... ;)
A bit more:

July 22: 60 minute run, 15 minute walk, 5 minute stretching
July 23: 45 minute biking, 15 minute walk/stretch
July 24: 60 minute run, 10 minute walk/stretch
July 25: 90 minutes biking

July 19-24 TOTAL: 490 Minutes

10 minutes total this week. Another pathetic week.

My goals for July:

#1 Run a 5k in under 20 min.
#2 Run at least 25 miles each week unless I'm racing...
#3 Lift weights for 2 days a week, an hour at a time.
#4 Bike at least 3 times with mileage over 20 miles.
#5 Do pilates 2 times per week.
#6 Don't break a leg...

Okay, so I didn't quite get in #2. I did walk/run more then 25 miles. But, I would like it to all be running.

I lifted weights for 10 minutes on Monday. I haven't done any of my biking and i did pilates once this week.

My minutes report:

July 20: 10 minutes weights - 10 minutes

July 21: 30 minutes running. 45 minutes 4-square. 15 minutes of this stupid game called pickle... 90 minutes

July 22: 45 minutes frisbee golf, 120 minutes of real golf. 165 minutes

July 23: 150 minutes of real golf, volleyball 15 minutes - 165 minutes

July 24: 420 minutes of hiking - 420 minutes

Total for this week: 850

This was definitely my best week for my exciting jogging on the spot exercising! \:D/

Sunday = 16 minutes
Monday = 16 minutes
Tuesday - 27 minutes
Wednesday = 18 minutes
Thursday = 30 minutes
Friday = 22 minutes
Saturday = 15 minutes

Total = 144 minutes

It's still a pathetic number compared to most people, but whatever. It's good for me! ;)

7/25/2009: 60 minutes running (10K race!)

Didn't quite make my goal, especially in the chiropractic department, but at least every activity was represented! \:D/

I also had my 10K race today! My time was 58:21:85 (yay for getting in in under an hour!), and it was well worth it. :yes:

I am fairly certain I have done no exercise this week, other than the usual hefting of children up and down stairs and around the house. ;) But I'm posting anyway in the spirit of the weekly recap. Just too much going on to fit it in. And time elves, those crafty thieves. :x

Too bad I didn't have internet after my last post, I walked SOO much while I was gone on holidays, since we just parked our car downtown in the morning and walked the rest of the day. My legs and heels felt like they were going to fall off I walked so much.

July 26:
40 minutes- Swimming
120 minutes- walking

July 27:
40 minutes- Swimming
120 minutes- walking

July 28:
40 minutes- Swimming
60 minutes- walking

Those three days I was still on holidays. I wasn't 100% sure about how long I was doing those, but I put my times as a lot lower than I actually did because it's better to put less time than more than what you did.

July 29:
10 minutes- Stretching

July 30:
90 minutes- Swimming (I did 3K!)
15 minutes- Stretching.

All the exercise minutes listed below refer to jogging on the spot:

Sunday: 16 minutes
Monday: 26
Tuesday: 25
Wednesday: 17
Thursday: 16
Friday: 0 (since I don't count my time at work, and the mini golfing that I'm supposed to do with my friends afterwards will hardly count as exercise) ;)

Total: 100 minutes Not an impressive number, but a nice round one! \:D/
