From above, he could easily see what everyone was doing—a family directly below him chattering excitedly as they headed towards the ocean, a tour bus leaving, and another one arriving shortly after, two teenagers flirting a little ways off, a novice surfer catching a wave off into the ocean, and the world in general enjoying the early morning while it lasted, all while being watched by a single teenager from where he stood.

A burglar broke into a house. It was dark, so he was making his way through the room slowly. Suddenly, he heard a voice. “Jesus is watching you.” He stopped moving. He didn’t hear anything, so after a moment he started going through the room again. He heard the voice again. “Jesus is watching you.” He stopped again, feeling a little nervous, but he didn’t hear anything more so he kept going. He heard the voice a third time “Jesus is watching you.” He turned on the light and saw a parrot in a cage.
“Jesus is watching you,” the parrot said. “Are you Jesus?” the burglar asked. The parrot replied, “No, I’m Moses.” The burglar scoffed. “What kind of weirdo would name his parrot Moses?” The parrot replied, “The same kind of weirdo that named his pit bull Jesus.”
