Life, life

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

what do you guys think? ;)
Amazing. What does it represent? And what's it made out of? And what grade did you get?
I made it to look like a city, hence the blocks, and a street with a stop sign and traffic light. The shoe and the telephone poles and wires represent an accident or crime scene in a bad part of town.
It's made out of 25 pieces of wood, a ceramic shoe, a flashing safety light, wooden dowels and mallet, wire, a bent cardholder, duct tape, and both spray paint acrylic paint. I don't know what grade I got, I only turned it in today and listened to the critique about it. Oh, and thank you :)
You're very talented. It would be so fun to go to art school. They critiqued it? Why?

Thank you again. Art school is fun, but it can be challenging. As far as the critique, it's not a bad thing really (lol you made it sound like they ran over it or something haha), but to give creative input for how it could be improved and also say what was done well. The person critiquing just said that the composition was good (how I made good use of space and in particular the corners) and how red was just the right color. As far as suggestions for improvement, adding gravel or something to the ground would help, to make that more interesting.

I do Saxon Math.

Well, it's not a total waste of time, but I could learn the same stuff in half the time.

I made soap today! We milled down bars of ivory soap, added scents, and poured some of it into molds and shaped some of it into balls. It was actually really fun! We made chocolate soap, yum....

What they DON"T tell you is how hard soap is to get OFF of stuff! :boohoo:

I did saxon and I liked it :-k Of course it helped that my mom is a math expert so she taught us all the shortcuts that saxon never taught \:D/

But on to what's been happening, the weather is finally warming up so the snow and ice should melt away soon \:D/ And in about 2 weeks the weather actually gets into the 60s finally
My brother's sick though :( I hope I don't catch what he has (I don't have time to get sick!) and I hope he gets better soon.

My mom's not expert either but for us Saxon was pretty self explanatory.
I liked it overall but of course it can be very difficult... because it's math :)

My mom, sister, and I were out shopping this afternoon - I was trying to find ingredients prices at several different stores. I'm considering selling some of my desserts at the local farmers market this year, and I have to come up with some prices.
