World Cup

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

At least I can enjoy a baseball game without those horrible horns going off non stop. ;)

They're not horrible. :noway: I have one myself (well, it's somewhat different, but still a big, plastic horn) so I find that comment offensive. =P

Those vuvuzelas are awful sounding. Even the players said so. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS TO SPAIN!!!

That's because the players ARE trying to play. They probably couldn't hear each other. :shrugs:

Exactly my point. the vuvuzelas are deafening. In terms of decibels, they're louder than airhorns and are nearly louder than a rock band concert. When I watched the WC matches, I wanted to hear the fans sing. Thanks to the vuvuzela, there was none of that, so I was ticked off.

Haha, I know how loud they are. =P Still, it would've been amazing to hear in the stadium...

...And as to the singing... I hear it so much from watching the EPL every weekend I guess it's just kinda in the background. :- Unless it's Chelsea playing and I can pick out the chant. :inlove: Then I'll sing along. \:D/

Huzzah and Wooton! I now own my own vuvuzela! They gave 500 away free at the Youth Conference I just went to. I love blowing it now. \:D/
