The ToO

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

1. How did you hear of the ToO? I heard of it from the very beginning - Shadowpaw started up the ToO while a member of the TH, which I was a part of. He had a countdown to April 1 and on that date revealed the ToO! \:D/

2. What do you think of it? I enjoy it! It's fun to converse with everybody.

3. What keeps you away from the ToO? Real life responsibilities...company here, work to be done, church meetings, vacations, etc.

4. How has the ToO impacted your life? I've met some nice people through it - not in person, but still, it's been nice to sort of get to know them through the internet. :)

5. What would your life be like without the ToO? I would have much more time for all my projects. ;) Heh.

The Unofficial adventures in Odyssey Podcast

I is addicted.

Life, and I found it hard to get reintegrated after I came back from camp.

Even though it's just the interweb, I feel like I know the people of the ToO.

It'd be a lot more boring.

Real life keeps me away.

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
I would have to get a dozen of books every week.

1. How did you hear of the ToO?
I randomly found it about two and half years ago when searching for AIO-related stuff. Then I found it again almost a year later, and joined. \:D/

2. What do you think of it?
Probably one of the best forums of all time, and I've been on a lot. The community here is completely fantastic. I love everybody here.

3. What keeps you away from the ToO?
LIFE. :x

4. How has the ToO impacted your life?
I've met a ton of awesome people, and I believe this board has really helped my maturity with both real life and other places on the interwebs.

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
Meh, probably not a lot different. :P I would know less people, and there would be no Randoms!

1. How did you hear of the ToO?

I was a member of the TH and I was on the test team for the ToO. Heard through Shadowpaw.

2. What do you think of it?

I'll admit, on the first test board I had my doubts. Once the site launched I thought it was great. Still do.

3. What keeps you away from the ToO?

So, there's this pesky thing called real life. I have a full time job, an awesome family, great friends, and a terrific church. All of this keeps me away. Plus, I'm trying to spend less time on the computer. Doing stuff that, y'know, actually requires physical activity versus the vegging of my eyes is just more satisfying.

4. How has the ToO impacted your life?

Not sure what to say here, so we'll move on to the next question--some of that answer will likely be able to be put in here. It's been a positive impact though.

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?

Oh, where do I start? Really.

In between conventions (MN and CO most notably), JEC, debates that redefined beating the dead horse, role-playing, meeting some great, great people--both in real life and on the site here; well, it's needless to say my life in the last five years would've been very, very different.

1. How did you hear of the ToO?
Through other Odyssey websites.

2. What do you think of it?
Too many liberals. \:D/

3. What keeps you away from the ToO?
:-s Other people being on the computer...

4. How has the ToO impacted your life?
I've learned a lot... and the Stapler election was like crazy... lots of ways I guess. O:)

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
About the same... but I probably wouldn't have known about the \:D/ smiley. ;)

1. How did you hear of the ToO?
From the http://odysseyscoop.com/.

2. What do you think of it?
I think it is a very nice AIO site, because you can really interact with the fans. ;) Sometimes it can be boring.... :| But all in all it is pretty interesting.

3. What keeps you away from the ToO?
Life keeps me away. #-o I mean, it is not like I am obsessed with the ToO! :noway: If there is not any good threads than I am not on here. (That also goes for people online.)

4. How has the ToO impacted your life?
Uh... it hasn't. I mean, really. But if you get technical, I guess it has - I mean, if I never had gotten on the ToO chat I never would have met hubcap (danny). She has truly impacted me in my life. And I thank God for her.

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
Well... I don't know. :headscratch: All I know, is that I probably would have never met hubcap - whom I've known for almost two years now. ;)

Oh, and as you can see... I REALLY LOVE the smilies too!!

1. How did you hear of the ToO?

It was the summer of '07 and I was on the Odysseyscoop when I stumbled onto this fabulous place. In March '08, I joined. :D

2. What do you think of it?

It's just a wonderful forum, filled with uplifting conversation, a place full of wonder and excitement, a place where kids can be kids...

OH wait. :anxious:

3. What keeps you away from the ToO?

There's this thing called life...:(

4. How has the ToO impacted your life?

It altered it forever! :o

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?

It would crumble to pieces and cease to exist. :(

2. What do you think of it? I used to think it was boring but now I think it's awesome!
3. What keeps you away from the ToO? myself. When I don't know what else to do on here, I get off and do something else
4. How has the ToO impacted your life? I dunno. I'm not really addicted to it...yet
5. What would your life be like without the ToO? I would be writing more stories, doing school and dancing

1. How did you hear of the ToO? I think it was through the Odyssey Scoop. Either that, or an awful lot of Google searching.
2. What do you think of it? It's amazingly fun to talk to people who even know what Odyssey is. Most of my friends either hate it, or they think I'm crazy for liking "a little kid show".
3. What keeps you away from the ToO? My mom. If it weren't for her, I'd be on at all hours of the day and night!
4. How has the ToO impacted your life? Agreeing with purelover, I dunno. I've made some friends and it's a fun place to be. And yes, I am definitely addicted to it!
5. What would your life be like without the ToO? Not so much fun, that's for sure! I would probably have the uncanny feeling that I was missing out on something important!

1. How did you hear of the ToO?
A random Google search I think...
2. What do you think of it?
I luvs it!!
3. What keeps you away from the ToO?
Real life drama. School. Stress.
4. How has the ToO impacted your life?
It's definitely increased my randomness (<3 The Randoms) and through The ToO I met my possibly life-long bestie, Amy, even though I've never met her in person. One day, we will meet and it will epic. I love her very muchly.
5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
Probably a lot more boring. And like I said before, I would've never met Amy.

1. I was a member of the Town Hall forum back in 2005 and joined the first day and have been here ever since.

2. It's a lot of fun.

3. Real life and I don't like being on the computer for long periods of time.

4. It has helped my computer skills immensely and given me a place of escape from life's stress.

5. I probably would not be on the computer as much as I am now and since AIO and the ToO are a sizable chunk of my life, something would be missing.

1. How did you hear of the ToO?
I think I was googleing sites about Odyssey
2. What do you think of it?
At first I thought the money was real. Much to my disappointment it wasn't. ;) I posted occasionally. I did most of my posting last year where I was able to be a moderator. =]
3. What keeps you away from the ToO?
BIOLOGY! and other college courses...
4. How has the ToO impacted your life?
I really enjoy seeing what Christians have to say about a variety of topics that aren't even Odyssey related.
5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
Much like my normal life, which involves a lot of studying.
I do what I do.

1. How did you hear of the ToO?
Friend from a now-shut-down forum told me about it.

2. What do you think of it?
I love it \:D/

3. What keeps you away from the ToO?
Life. School mainly.

4. How has the ToO impacted your life?
It's given me friends I thought I would never have. I've also been able to get some good advice on here.

5. What would your life be like without the ToO?
I don't know. I'd probably just do what I did with my last forum that shut down. Move on with sweet memories.

1. I think I first heard of it through the Unofficial Podcast. It was either that or the Odyssey Scoop.
2. Very awesome. \:D/
3. Everyday life.
4. It has given me a place where I can meet other people online who love AIO as much as I do.
5. I'd probably spend a lot less time on the computer.
