Little House on the Praire!
I like LHOTP. I watch it all the time still. I watched probably 4 episodes over the weekend. haha.
I loved and still love LHOTP. I own the entire series on DVD.

I never watched the TV show, but I always loved the books, and apparently there's a musical version now, which I think is really cool! I would love to see that one day.
...Maybe our very own Laura Ingalls could star in the musical!

I love the books so much that I pretty much hate the TV series, 'cause they're NOTHING like the books.
The good ol' ToO.
I don't even associate the books with the TV series. In my mind they are two distinct things, but I know when I first watched the show I felt the same way as you InHisArms.
Awesome! I wish I had the whole series.Laurie wrote:I loved and still love LHOTP. I own the entire series on DVD.

Our close old friends own the whole series. That's a pretty big collection!Sapphire wrote:Awesome! I wish I had the whole series.Laurie wrote:I loved and still love LHOTP. I own the entire series on DVD.
LHOTP is a great old show. I've seen a lot of miscellaneous episodes and always enjoy them.

I have the whole series except this one collectors thing where they're really old because my parents don't want to buy it.Sapphire wrote:Awesome! I wish I had the whole series.Laurie wrote:I loved and still love LHOTP. I own the entire series on DVD.

Little House was a really good family show.

My Mom owns the whole series. But it is not something I watch...

We have the whole series on DVD, too. It was a good show, but I don't watch it much anymore. I probably should try re-watching the whole series again. That last episode was just sad though...

I've seen a few shows but couldn't really get into them. Nothing against Michael Landon, he doesn't look anything like I envisioned "Pa."
I read the books a loooong time ago, and now my younger sister is reading them.
(I haven't seen any of the shows.)

Michael Landon would agree with you. The actor cast in the role of Charles Ingalls never showed up, so the director (or was it producer?) stepped in and became the role for the entire show.Chandlah wrote:I've seen a few shows but couldn't really get into them. I know. It shouldn't have ended that way.Kairi wrote:We have the whole series on DVD, too. It was a good show, but I don't watch it much anymore. I probably should try re-watching the whole series again. That last episode was just sad though...

I didn't know that was how he was cast! I rather liked him as Pa, but of course, I've never read the books.KODY 105 wrote:Michael Landon would agree with you. I haven't either. I found them somewhat boring.American Eagle wrote:I didn't know that was how he was cast! I liked the first season or two. But the later seasons got so far away from the books, they were just weird.

Meh, I read the first book, but never got around to reading the rest. I found them dull, to be honest <_<.
I read the books a long time ago. At the time I read them, I enjoyed them. Not so sure if they would interest me much now.
I've only seen a couple of the shows. Never really was that interested though.
