Dumbest book you've EVER read?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

A Tale of Desperaux I didn't finish it, but it was so pointless and stupid.

Some random time-traveling book where they went back to the 1930's and tried to sight the Loch Ness Monster. It was extremely boring.

I am reading it right now for school. :( It is called The Wheel on the School. It is just about a bunch of kids from Holland who want storks to lay nest on their roofs. It is easy to read, but it is dumb.

Silas Marner was good. :noway:

Moby Dick, however... boring to the death.

And you never should have.
No, you never should have.
But don't break your back

But don't answer that.

I'll be doing my best
I'll see you soon.

*Joins the defense of Silas Marner*

The first books I think of are several of the ones I had to review freshmen year, namely Technical Virgin, The Widows' Club, and Forever. The latter was probably the most disappointing, since it was by an author I'd heard of (Karen Kingsbury), and so I expected it to be better. :noway:

Does Melville's short story Bartleby the Scrivener count? It wasn't a book a stwere, but it was a dumb story.

I was in a doctor's office recently, and I picked a book of the shelf about electrotherapy... That was a mistake... all the gross pictures of human limbs with electrodes with that weird, scary-looking tape and the discussion of voltage drop across and current through human nerves, muscles, and skin... :thud:

Don't creep me out...soon I'm going to have to go stay in the hospital with electrodes stuck all over me. :(

(Completely serious, btw. :P)

Treasure of the Incas was to horrible to read past the fifth chapter. :noway:

Useful Idiots is a lame book. It's boring, and monotonous, and depressing. :(
