Let's see... another busy week for me as well, but made a little effort. I did some work cleaning out my house and standing around having a yard sale in the heat, but nothing quantifiable for the purposes of this contest. I guess if I can work up to accomplishing my original goal by the end of this, I'll be happy.

Tuesday, I realized it was already Tuesday, so I got 10 minutes of stretching in.
Wednesday, 30 minutes Pilates mat work.
Thursday, walked to the library and back, 40 minutes.
Total for the week, 80 minutes.

Progress Report: July 12-18

My goals this week were slightly less demanding than the previous week. \:D/
  • Run 10K+ once
  • Run 7K once
  • Do 50 push-ups daily
  • Do 50 sit-ups daily
I ran 14K on Sunday in 1 hour and 10 minutes, setting a personal best for both distance and time. I opted to take a couple days off and only run twice more - a short 3.5K run with some friends and an 8K run that was interrupted by heavy rain showers. :x I think I missed the 50 push-ups and sit-ups once or twice.

Here's what I did achieve.
  • July 12: 70 minutes of running, 90 minutes of reffing
  • July 13: 120 minutes of ultimate frisbee
  • July 14: 90 minutes of reffing
  • July 15: 90 minutes of reffing, 20 minutes of running
  • July 16: 90 minutes of reffing
  • July 17: 120 minutes of ultimate frisbee
  • July 18: 40 minutes of running
  • July 12-18: 20 minutes of push-ups and sit-ups
Total: 750 minutes

Boy, this was a tough week, mostly because I was out of my native habitat + a 12 hour card ride took up too much time! This week I managed to get in 215 minutes over 6 days, an assortment of mostly swimming and stair climbing/walking. I managed to make the mins/day goal 5 days/7 and made stretching+calisthenics 2x instead of 3x. Although the minute count isn't so much different from last week's count (245), the minutes this week were overall less rigorous. In the coming week, I'll keep the same goals as last week and up the rigor.

this week:

Sunday: 35 minutes of DDR
Monday: 35 minutes of DDR, 10 minutes of walking
Tuesday: 38 minutes of DDR
Wednesday: 35 minutes of DDR, 60 minutes of swimming
Thursday: 45 minutes of DDR
Friday: 35 minutes of DDR
Saturday: 10 minutes of walking, 25 minutes of nominal calisthenics

Total: 328 minutes

as far as goals went, I got my swimming in all in one day. too busy lately to really do any stretching/strength-training.

EDIT:

For the month, I've got 648 minutes logged, meaning I need to log 352 more minutes to meet my monthly goal of 1000.

And by Jove. Some people here are insane in their amounts logged.

7/13/2009: 40 minutes chiropractic exercises
7/14/2009: 120 minutes running (10K) and walking (3.5 miles)
7/16/2009: 20 minutes chiropractic exercises
7/17/2009: 40 minutes chiropractic exercises

Total of 290 minutes this week. Not my strongest week - one less than my goal for each category (chiropractor, running, and aerobic/weight training)... but oh well, at least I'm exercising at all! \:D/

That was my exercise for the week. I'm still on bed rest. I had 27 hours of false labor between Friday night and Saturday night.

Progress Report

I'm proud to present you with what we've accomplished so far!
We're up to 24 participants, and our grand total from July 1-18 is 17238 minutes. :D
We're more than halfway done; let's go out with a bang in these final two weeks! \:D/

Image

Notes:
  • Please post your final minute count at the end of each week. Thank you to those who are already doing that. It really helps. \:D/
  • I'm fallible, so feel free to check that your numbers are correct. :)
  • I received a PM question about money disbursement. I'll be calculating the dough at the end of the contest and doling it out short after the economic reset. \:D/
EUCC wrote:So what's the prize?
For me, walking 1 hr every day, except Sunday was 2 hrs. I bet I get some awesome points for labor, too, right?
The prize is $ToO. I'm amazed at your resilience through the childbearing process, EUCC. =D>

I edged you out 2 weeks ago, but you won this week. You're on! \:D/
Ben Linus wrote:Since I probably won't be able to get on the computer tomorrow very much, I'll just say that I completed my goals for this second week. Added that I took a 40 hour walk yesterday. I plan to ride the bike for 60 minutes tomorrow along with the stretches; is it okay if--since you said I can't take credit for it untill I do it--that I say I did it after 11:59?

EDIT: Oops, I mean 40 minutes. :anxious:
I'm going to say no. I had to leave early last week and didn't get to report some of the activity I did. C'est la vie!
The King s Daughter wrote:This week has been a busy week so all I have done is 30 jumping jacks 3x this week O:)
I'm going to put in 5 minutes, but if the jumping jacks took longer or short, let me know. :)
The same goes for Candy et al. I'm not sure how long your miscellaneous calisthenics took, so I'm going to assume 5 minutes if you don't specify the time.

Thanks for the progress report of our progress reports, Taq. ;)

I can't believe this contest is already coming to a close. If we keep this up, we should be able to hit a combined total of 500 hours. \:D/

I got very busy and couldn't get on the computer very long yesterday, can I still submit my minutes from this past week?

Okay, this past week I took my dogs for walks every morning. From this past sunday to this past saturday it comes to a total of 135 minutes. I also had a brisk 15 minute walk the other day.
I'm not really trying to win or anything, I'm just posting what I normaly do.

I promise to give my report on time next week.

Thanks.

Sorry, I was really busy over the weekend. I hope I can add some time... <_<

July 16: 60 minutes of walking, I fasted all day. So I didn't feel like running.
July 17: 30 minutes of walking
July 18: 25 minutes of walking.

Total for last week: 305

I totally slacked last week. Part of it is going out of town over the weekend, anyways this week I should get 10 hours. I am not making any of my goals.. <_< Maybe making my goals week to week is the best thing...

I swam 90 minutes yesterday and stretched 20 minutes. That's all the exercise I'm doing this week because I'm going on a trip and won't have internet connection while I'm gone.
Total: 110 minutes.

July 19: 60 minute run (finally!)
July 20: 60 minute run, 10 minute walk/stretch
July 21: 60 minute bike

Total: 190 minutes

I found a beautiful 12.5 mile park trail loop, so I'm hoping that I can bike that tomorrow - weather permitting. Current goal is 60 minutes combined exercise per day with an emphasis on running/biking.

Current running speed is approx. 3.5-4K/hr and I'd like to see that pushed to 5K/hr by the end of the contest. Again, we'll see... ;)
