Wooton

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

What do you think of Wooton?

He is my very favorite character!

Long-time posters will probably remember my very vocal outrage when Wooton was introduced. He was irresponsible and an awful role-model in those early episodes. If I had been a parent of Odyssey in "Welcoming Wooton" or "Breaking Point", my kids certainly wouldn't have been allowed at Whit's End.

But Grady really matured him. I think the present incarnation of Wooton is acceptable (though still minimally annoying), though I will say I didn't feel a tinge of sadness when the possibility of him moving away from Odyssey was raised in album #50.

Please allow me to conjecture-- Lord Sesshoumaru voted for the fourth option?

Wooton is an alright character, but Eugene is better!

I just love Wooton because we are apparently cut from the same cloth. I'm the 'proverbial' black sheep of my own family and I'm a huge comic book geek... glad to know Odyssey made a male incarnation of myself. LOL!

I think he's hilarious! Every episode he's on he makes me laugh.

You should meet Torry Martin. ;)

I, too am rather attached to this character, saying as I wouldn't exist without him.

I like Wooton. I think he is funny and a good influence on the kids in Odyssey.

I love Wooton. I would marry him. (Except I'm still a little attatched to Jason Whittaker.)

He's goofy and fun while still being spiritually mature.

...based on himself, so he has many of Wooton's qualities; from alaska, heavyset, goofy, fun-loving, likes kids, reads comic books, etc.

I would marry Wooton in a heartbeat as well. I have never pictured him as heavyset though. There are several graphic representations of Wooton and the one I prefer is the one at the Focus on the Family welcome center where he is tall an not obese but not a toothpick either. All I have to do now is convince the odyssey writting team that Amy would make a perfect wife for Wooton Basset by being a strong Christian woman who can serve cheese and licorice whips in the same meal!

But in one episode Wooton says, "I found out that I am more wide than I am tall!"

And do you take him seriously? Or do you think that might be a joke?

It's been hinted at more than once. And what about that episode with Connie, Whit and Bernard? :anxious:

*sigh* That quote has been debated far more than it deserves.
