Dear miko14,
My favorite verse is John 3:16
for God so loved the world that he gave his only forgotten son that who ever beleves in him should not perish but have ever lasting life
John 3:16
Sincerly,
Nathan baker
Dear miko14,
her is my other verse I really like is Psalms 3
Oh lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me,God will not deliver him.But you are a shield around me,O lord;you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill.I lie down and sleep;I wake again, because the lord sustains me.I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side. Arise,Oh lord! Deliver me,O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw;break the teeth of the wicked. From the lord comes deliverance.May your blessings be on your people.

I have a tie for my favorite books:
Romans and Philiipians
Romans because it has a clear plan of salvation plus so much more awesome doctrine.
Philippians because it is so encouraging and challenging. I can think of times in my life when so many verses in Philippians have helped me get through the days.

I can't pick just one.
Right now I'm partial to John. I love all the "I am" statements by Jesus:
Bread of Life (John 5)
Light of the World (John 8)
Gate; Good Shepherd (John 10)
Resurrection and the Life (John 11)
The Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14)
True Vine (John 15)

I love Philippians, too! The theme is joy, which is especially awesome since Paul wrote the book from prison.Robyn Jacobs wrote:Philippians because it is so encouraging and challenging. I can think of times in my life when so many verses in Philippians have helped me get through the days.

Exactly! It really puts things in perspective when I am having a bad day.I love Philippians, too! The theme is joy, which is especially awesome since Paul wrote the book from prison.
A new favorite that is coming up on my list is Daniel. I am currently doing the Beth Moore Daniel Bible Study, and learning so much from his life and from the prophecy portions as well.
