Most of the time I prefer quiet when I am reading. Sometimes I can listen to instrumental music, but not any music with someone singing. If I did that, I would end up putting the book down to listen to the music.
I have never tried reading while driving, but I love to read while I am a passenger in the car.

2) Knit a dishcloth
3) Brush my teeth
4) Listen to music
5) Do other stuff that I can't think of at the moment

Um, I guess this is where I'm supposed to say something funny or interesting.

I can eat and walk and I used to read in the shower but my dad told me to stop
pretty much though, people have to give me a couple minutes to get "absorbed" in the book, then they can talk, listen to music whatever and i completely tune them out. I miss lots of things while reading...

Seems like it'd be hard to look at both the computer/tv and the book at the same time, don'tcha think?

If it's for pleasure, I can listen to music with no words, but if it's a textbook or something for school, I need absolute silence.
I'm actually the opposite of that...HarlowRoxMySox wrote:If it's for pleasure, I can listen to music with no words, but if it's a textbook or something for school, I need absolute silence.

Ooh, but if I'm reading the text on a video game, I've discovered I can walk and even TALK to people at the same time... it's pretty sweet.
