The users are not allowed to post links to other websites? I wonder how they back up anything they say. How could one discuss politics without posting links to prove their points? For example, JED posted links to various sites showing his position. How would anyone take his word if he can't say whom he heard say it?

I suppose that that forum = so far the first link I have actually seen to the place here- I found it after so many minutes of Googling... has no concept of the world wide web.

I also suppose that the forum is officially connected to DGL, unlike the ToO and AIO.

Those are merely my first impressions of the place. I am fully prepared for any backlash from any of the ToOers regarding my insubordination.
K1, everyone will hate you now. :(

Well, probably not.

The no-posting-links rule is pretty strange in my opinion; I know there are little kids there and such, but couldn't they just monitor what links are posted instead of removing them altogether? That just seems unnecessary. And the ToO does a good job of monitoring and killing bots; I see no reason why CBH can't do the same, especially since they're apparently getting paid to run the place.

Anyway, I'll stick to the ToO. CBH might be better for really young kids, but I am not one of those, fortunately. \:D/

I have joined the place now. All personal attacks for my insubordination may now ensue there.

I hope you aren't implying people on the ToO don't care. :noway:

There are plenty of ToO people who are caring! We have... one... caring people! Sometimes two! \:D/

Ehh...maybe.
Let's say when Rachael died, my topic on CBH had thousands of views and hundreds of replies, and I got over 200 PMs about it. Here the topic had about 4 replies, I don't remember how many views and I got 0 PMs...just saying...

Yep Hillingdale :noway:

I think that CBH has the right concept it's just that people outgrow it. It's like you have to start young so you can get the right feel.

As I said CBH has the right thought but it's still corny!

Every forum has it's downfalls apparently the ToO's downfall is it's failure to hand out pm's when one of it's member's friend's die. I will be sure to work on that next time.

Yeah, CBH is corny...but I'll still continue to lurk and post sporadically. If only so that I can possibly be an older, wiser influence on the younger ones.

Personally I like the ToO better. It serves as a haven for ALL ages.I was surprised to see so many 20+ when I first logged on that actively posted.

I even saw a few 30+ but they shall remain nameless... :-

I am sorry I wasn't trying to be rude or anything I guess I got a little carried away....

Pretty much my point is that every Forum has it's good points and bad points personally for me I see some things in CBH that I don't see in the ToO. Next time I will watch what I say. I have an affinity for saying stupid, hurtful things when I shouldn't. ](*,)

Sorry I hope you can forgive me....

The CBH forums are up and running again. Any further debate is rather pointless now.

I'll attempt to be a bit more tactful than he was. And accurate.

The ToO is a bit more.....unemotional than CBH. And with an older crowd. When someone posts a thread like that here, it's not going to get much response for a variety of reasons, those two among them.

But please, be assured, just because it doesn't get a lot of attention doesn't mean it's gone unnoticed or that people don't care. Speaking for myself, I read every topic in the prayer closet, but I rarely post and just keep my prayer to myself.

I hope that answers your concerns.

heh, 1. I was tempted to post some rather undiplomatic sentiments at seeing the forums return, and 2. That debate was probably pointless to begin with.
