Best Book made into Movie

School project

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Though that may be true; a movie can be just as entertaining (mostly because you aren't doing any work).

True, I won't argue that point.
But the whole point of a book is to use your imagination and to enter a whole other world beyond our reality. When I read a book and then watch a move adaption, I find that they have changed the charaters, the storyline, and everything else that I savored and enjoyed as I read. When I read a book, I form an image of this place, these people; and when an actor I never would have seen as one of the characters is placed, it ruins the whole experience.
This is just me, though. My personal experience. But what can I say? These are two different forms of entertainment, and to each their own. :)
A happy ending is a story that hasn't finished yet.

Umm, I think that you're linking to page one of this same topic. :anxious: If you meant something else, I apologize. :D

If I had to venture a guess... I could be totally wrong but this is only a guess... I'd say this topic was merged. :anxious: I'm rather sure that AIO PSYCHE's topic was separate but I don't have any evidence to support my claim. ](*,) If not them I'm a lot more dense than I originally thought.

Sorry, Chandler - the two topics were merged while I wasn't on, and I didn't realize that it happened right away. :anxious: You were right! Now everything is good, though, I think! :D

The Lord of the Rings is without question the best movie made from a book! :)

You will probably be able to appreciate it more in a few years Marvin. Most people I know didn't really understand it until their mid/upper teenage years.
