Trippyshoe, Hawkeye, and Sidney Bristow Vaughn both joined here and posted like... once or twice.

Amadeo is around somewhere I think, too...

I am not immediately aware of Dr. Blackgaard joining here but be may have.

EK was the bestest poster ever! $\:D/$ I remember all the awesome discussions on banning him that happened in the admin forum thereon the TH! $\:D/$

I really like the admins here but its totally not living up to its awesomeness potential without Jared Walczak being an admin.

Ah yes, same here as well. I created an account but 'refused' to post for a while as the new layout and topics were so foreign.

However, name changes aside, I think quite a number of the TH people moved over here. My only complaint is that CCDS has turned into a graveyard!

On a serious note, I'm very interested in anyone's thoughts about livening up the place. Most of the time it takes a noob with an oft debated question that gets the ball rolling but I've been brainstorming other ideas about how to increase activity. If anyone has any ideas, PM me.

On the TH there once was a board called The Town of Odyssey. For lack of a better explanation, it was a place to roleplay (it is now accessible in the archives). Every now and then there would be an election for mayor--or the mod for that section of the board.

The final election took place between Ferder/Mellowboy and Arthur Dent/not-sure-who-the-running-mate-was.

By that point, the TH was seriously divided about what purpose, if any, the ToO should play in the community. People either hated it or loved it. Representing those who wanted to keep it was the FM ticket. Arthur Dent was running on a platform of bulldozers--in other words, were he elected, within days the ToO would be taken from public view and shut down.

Obviously, Dent won.

If folks are thinking that that ToO inspired this ToO, you're right. In fall or summer of 2004, mellowboy was talking about it to Shadowpaw, and how cool it would be if the admins would reopen it on the TH. This inspired Shadowpaw to just make a whole new board (trying to persuade the admins at the TH to reopen the original would probably have been very futile at best), and so here we are.

He's talking about the original ToO... It was a forum on the TH and was the inspiration behind this site.
