Healthy alternatives.

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Healthy alternative to broccoli: popcorn.

Healthy alternative to cauliflower: buffalo wings.
:hilarious:
Apparently so.

Oddly, the boneless ones taste different. You wouldn't expect bone extraction to affect taste, but there's just something wrong with them!

Had some fresh cherry tomatoes from the garden today.........And they were delicious! But if I'd had the choice between the tomatoes and Lindt chocolate.........hummm..........tomatoes or chocolate, chocolate or tomatoes, chocolate or chocolate, chocolate.....chocolate...........Oh, did I mention that I enjoy Lindt chocolate? :D

Tomatoes?! What kind of comparison is that?!?! I can't even hardly stand tomato juice on my salad when my mom forgets to keep them off!

...I'm picky about my food.

Same here, never even fully eaten a tomatoe, blech...
Alternatives... I just drink water if I ever want junk food. Water fills you up, and it's kinda healthy. :p

Is peanut butter healthy? Because, sometimes when I really, really want chocolate, but don't have any, I eat peanut butter. :anxious:

I believe it's quite quite fatty. I try to avoid it, but it's a good source of protein.

Peanut butter is only good when it's with chocolate, not by its self. :noway:

Hah! I just got quoted three times in a row. \:D/

*Ahem* Anyway, chocolate and peanut butter? I'd personally rather have one or the other, not both together. :anxious:

Fatty? Does that mean I'm gonna get fat?! Not that I really care... ;)

Tomatoes are best, straight out of the garden. When the sun has been shining on them and they are still warm.

One thing to try if you don't like the flavor, is to add sugar. Not the healthiest thing around, I suppose. But a candy bar would be a lot worse. A lot of people have trouble with their stomach hurting when they eat tomatoes, so the sugar cuts the acid and cuts down on the stomach aches.

Another way to eat tomatoes is to have tomato sandwiches. A slice of toast, some mayonnaise slathered on, a couple slices of tomato, some sugar (!), and some sliced cheddar cheese. YUM

Sure beats peanut butter. ;)

*AHEM*

Peanut Butter + Chocolate = Reeses

Hello! That's like, the best candy ever! How can you not like it?

Anyways....I have a high matabolism (sp?), so I don't usually have to worry when I eat junk food. But I try to eat healthy things at the same time.

I personally don't like tomatoes, I tasted one that had been in the sun (as servant*girl described) and I didn't like it at all. Sorry.

Resses are so good! Very very addicting.
Yet, the best candy in the world are Twizzlers. \:D/

I had, note the word "had", a high metabolism yet, not anymore. Now I need to actually watch what I eat. ;)
