Does anyone on the ToO know what a sawmill is. I am doing this just out of curiosity.

I have asked too many people who didn't know what a sawmill is to believe what you say is about true about everyone. Plus you did't say what thay are.

A sawmill is a place were people cut wood, correct?

Yes, into lumber which is then shipped out to flooring plants, furniture makers and so forth and so on.
