"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. We've got books on flossing teeth, plus three books on tossing sheep. If we spent our lives just counting books, we'd never get to sleep!" -Leopold the Librarian ("The Great Wishy Woz")
Arwen wrote:Passion and Purity, by Elizabeth Elliot. I've wanted to read it for FOREVER, and it's GREAT so far.
Ah I love that book! It warms my heart to know that you are reading it as well! May you be blessed and inspired, and may you truly wait for your true love!
Also, if you get the chance, get the second one: Quest for Love. There are many amazing stories of faithfulness, God's faithfulness that is, God's perfect timing. Lessons learned of what not to do. Examples set of higher standards. It holds inspiration for me to hold to the course I have set.
i am currently reading books by Lauraine Snelling. A friend recommended them to me. And of course, I always have by my bed a book by.....*puts hand to her ear in anticipation of someone yelling out the rest of her sentence*

I finished The Midwife of St. Petersburg, excellent book although the ending makes me think that there may hopefully be a sequel. I am starting A Promise for Ellie by Lauraine Snelling, it is the first book in her Daughters of Blessing series.
I just finished reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. A friend of mine had recommended it, and I was intrigued. Though it certainly held my attention, the plot twists were cool, and I could relate to the protagonist (who is never named, by the way...neat trick), Gothic Romance is definitely not my favorite genre.
I finished A Promise for Ellie by Lauraine Snelling. Wonderful!! I just love her books. Next is Sophie's Dilemma book 2 in the Daughters of Blessing series.
