What else can you do while reading?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Most of the time I prefer quiet when I am reading. Sometimes I can listen to instrumental music, but not any music with someone singing. If I did that, I would end up putting the book down to listen to the music.

I have never tried reading while driving, but I love to read while I am a passenger in the car.
Intentions are good;
Committment is necessary;
But in order to move forward,
Actions are required.

When I'm reading, sometimes I can breathe, and (depending on location) I can dangle my feet in the air.

Eating Flaming Hot Cheetos helps me read. I don't know why.

drink
listen to music
comb my hair
swing in a hammock

1) Eat
2) Knit a dishcloth
3) Brush my teeth
4) Listen to music
5) Do other stuff that I can't think of at the moment
Um, I guess this is where I'm supposed to say something funny or interesting.

I can eat and walk and I used to read in the shower but my dad told me to stop :anxious: pretty much though, people have to give me a couple minutes to get "absorbed" in the book, then they can talk, listen to music whatever and i completely tune them out. I miss lots of things while reading...

Seems like it'd be hard to look at both the computer/tv and the book at the same time, don'tcha think? :anxious:

If it's for pleasure, I can listen to music with no words, but if it's a textbook or something for school, I need absolute silence.

I listen to music while I'm reading, especially during school.
I've baked cookies while I'm reading, too.

i listen to music or AIO while reading. I usually like classical while reading but i'm not picky.
maybe its not the destination, maybe it's the journey
