One minute and two and a half seconds!?

I can do better than that! Let me try again....

ahhhh, only 49 seconds! I guess I have to refresh myself before going again.

a lot of people have trouble reaching 1 minute, so you shouldn't be worried

Ok, I did it for 1 minute and then I was told by a doctor that it's seriously bad to force yourself to hold your breath. ANd since it is important to know why, I'll put this in red letters:

Please DO NOT try holding your breath! It could be fatal! (Seriously!)

The reasons? It can cause heart failure/arithmia(spelling?), meaning that you'll be dead. =O

EDIT:: Sorry anybody, who thought I was being too extreme.

It's still good to be careful though.

I should never have tempted everyone here to hold their breath. It was wrong of me.

Haha, Gabe, it's ok.

I'm sorry if I offended you any.

I just wanted to warn anybody who actually seriously tried a lot or anything. It's just not good for your heart sometimes.

I usually can only breathe for about 45 seconds, but I forced myself to try one minute and afterwards my heart hurt(literally =P) for a while. Not sure if it had anything to do with it, I just mean it CAN be harmful.

I don't really... Believe a word of that.

Sounds like quack advice to me. I guess if someone had prior heart problems it could possibly cause a problem. The worst thing that could usually happen (assuming you're not doing something stupid like taping your mouth) is for you to pass out and start breathing again...

It's just a precaution thing. I can go overboard when I hear things like that, so maybe I should take that redness off. >_> I'm sorry if you took it so badly.
