I noticed the other day that Cookie Monster was on the label of the packgaes of strawberries that are sold at the grocery store where I work. Call me a pathetic, unelightened traditionalist if you want to, but I miss the days where Cookie Monster ate cookies.
So join me in my revolt again things that are good for you!
Because Cookie Monster would approve, deep down inside, and that's what we should all really care about, right?

Unfortunately, due to the mass consumption of fast food and overweight children, Sesame Street decided that Cookie Monster should start eating healthy and setting a good example.
"C" is for cookie, that's good enough for me...

I heard about that a while ago, but it still seems weird.

a low-carb monster wanting to lose weight
his character is all about being a bad guy who eats lots of cookies, not a role model for children

Cookie Monster isn't a bad guy!
Eating cookies quickly doesn't make him a bad monster. *glares*

I think he's actually a stage 2 South Beach Dieter. Low-carb and fruit don't mix....It's funny to think of Cookie Monster trying to eat healthfully though. What has life come to?

Actually, the Cookie Monster does not eat cookies, but rather crunches them up into crumbs, because he lacks a throat and esophagus.

No actually he's a good guy and many small children's favorite character. I can see the worry, but the action is a little rediculous.

Yeah, I'd think parents would have the authority to stop their kids from crunching 2 dozen cookies in 4 seconds, but apparently not.

Didn't he ever learn that sharing is nice? I thought kids were supposed to learn to share and stuff...not hog all the cookies for themselves.
