If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!
i've been playing the piano for uh... five or six years, clarinet for two years
I want to go to college for music
Didn't we have some fun, though? Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said, 'goodbye.' And you were like, 'no, wait.' And then I was all, 'we pretended we were going to murder you.' That was great...
I've played violin since I was five. I took piano, but that only lasted three months. A friend taught me to play guitar a while back, and I think I picked it up pretty fast, but I don't own a guitar so I haven't played in over a year and have forgotten everything.
I've played the piano about eleven years, but only had lessons for about nine of them. And just about as many teachers as years of lessons so I'm not quite where I should be. This coming year I'm going to begin learning the harp.
I play the piano and I love it, although I'm horrible at it. >_> I've always wanted to learn to play the flute.

I always wanted to learn the harp when I was little, but it's not a real available instrument to learn. But they actually teach it at my college so I'm excited to get to learn.

I wasn't yelling. I was talking with vehemence.
I've played the piano for about 2-3 years I don't remember exactly and I just started playin the drums a couple months ago, don't have a drumset yet. If you want to play the drums, you might want to think about taking the piano, too. It gives you better rhythm.

I haven't taught myself the violin, but I have played since I was 7. I'm not that good though. I'd say that if you get a good "teach yourself" book, and if you have an ear for music (pitch wise) you should be fine. My suggestion would be to practice in front of a mirror to make sure you are holding the violin correctly. It's an awkward position at first, and it is easy to get into bad habits if you don't watch it closely.
Oh, and I supposed I'll answer the question:
Yes.
Piano first.
Violin Second.
Guitar (Self taught) third.
Brass (french horn/self taught..erm, teaching) newest.
