Once while I was helping out at children's church this little 3 year old girl needed to go to the washroom. The teacher asked me to take her, so we went into the ladies room. Well, there was a problem. She was too small to sit on the toilet so I had to lift her on the seat. However, she had a little accident, so I escorted her back to the classroom and cleaned it up. The teacher laughed when I told her about it and said that it was no big deal. It was very embarassing.

"To be nobody but yourself in a world that's doing its best to make you somebody else is to fight the hardest battle you are ever going to fight. Never stop fighting." -- E. E. Cummings
I've just had the awesome honor of helping my son become potty trained. I had many long times spent in the bathroom as well. We bought my son a potty chair that you could record messages on it when they flushed the chair it would make the flushing sound and then our words of praise. It was frustrating at times, but also a joy in watching him develop and grow.
I've spent a lot of time babysitting so I've had some experience with kids who are in the process of being potty trained. One of these children had no problem being trained, the problem came when he was outside and having far too much fun playing to bother running in to go to the bathroom. These people live in town but this little guy seemed to have no problem with running behind a "tree" if you could call this little seedling that and going before he had an accident. It's a good thing the neighbours have a good sense of humour!
It's good to visit again... it's been a while!
