Whit’s best friend, Tom Riley, tells Connie the story of how Whit’s End was created amid tragic circumstances.
One of the best of the first episodes. Ties into A Member of the Family. Whit changes from an angry old man, into the Whit we know and love. This essentially feels like a season finale to this first album! And of course, Glossman becomes an essential character in later stories.

Other places are okay
And some are fine
But as far as hometowns go
Well, Odyssey is mine
Oh, it's the place to be
I'm sure you will agree

This is of course one of the best first episodes. And of course it's included in the list of first episodes to listen to, that "welcome to Odyssey" collection or similar. We learn about Mr. Whittaker's late wife. The direction of his life entered our storyline because of the personal tragedy.
