New odyssey character?

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

How can someone do it if they don't believe in it? I know several families who have switched halfway through, and several families who have stuck with it the whole way through. Just because they switch doesn't mean they didn't or don't believe in it.

Yes. True. But people homeschool for different reasons. I believe that OrgamiKid, Laura Ingalls, and I all know the differences.

Yes, people do homeschool for different reasons. My parents were some of the first in norh Texas to homeschool. They did it back in the early eighties, back when it was extremely "uncool." (They even started a support group which still exists to this day.)
They homeshcooled us because they wanted us to think on the bible and know God's word. (Public schools don't teach that if you hadn't noticed.) They taught us to like books, to think critically, and many other things as well.

I won't claim to know the finances of such decisions, but I will say I've seen it work for the few I've witnessed do it.
I can answer that. :) Homeschooling is much cheaper than private schooling, but nothing is cheaper than public schooling, speaking relatively. Although public schools (I believe) ultimately pay the most per student, that's just part of your taxes so you don't have a choice. Parents pay for the public school down the street whether or not their children attend it. So they would save themselves some costs if they send their children there.
