What books are you reading?

I finished Beloved Hope, wonderful story! Up next for me is Daughter of Cana by Angela Hunt. It is the first book in her Jerusalem Road series/trilogy.

And after commenting on danadelfos's deep reading choices...I'm about to read "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K. Rowling.

I'm going to go ahead and pretend that's a deep book.

I struggle to want to read fiction. It's a problem.

I'm in the same boat. Ask friends for recommendations, you'll eventually find some authors you like.

And along those lines - I started reading "Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography" just for fun. I read The Series of Unfortunate Events a couple of years ago after I watched the first four episodes of the Netflix show and then realized that I was missing out on some good books. Fans of the show/series will find similar themes. It's fun to be continually told not to read the book that you're reading.

It's very cool for me to see someone reading and enjoying books by Tracie Peterson, as she is actually a relative of mine. I live in the town where whitman mission is, so she will come visit every once in a while to do reasearch for her books. I've thought about reading her books, but I've been told their not really down my alley.

That's awesome! She's a great author, and has written a variety of books over the years. You might want to give one a try and see what you think. Even if you don't love it, you can at least say you read one in case you ever talk to her.

Tracie Peterson has been a favorite of mine since I started reading Christian fiction in 1991. Her books are absolutely wonderful!
I just finished Daughter of Cana, excellent book!! Up next for me is Diamond in the Rough by Jen Turano. This is the second book in her American Heiresses trilogy.

I'm starting "Of Literature and Lattes" by Katherine Reay. I like the literary angles of her books, and this looks like a good one!

Currently reading "The Highest of Hopes" by Susan Anne Mason. It is the second book in her Canadian Crossings trilogy. Very good so far.

I'm reading "The Blue Castle" by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I've read it many times before and always enjoy it. I think it is an underrated classic.

Last night I started Things We Didn't Say by Amy Lynn Green. This book is different in that the story is told in epistolary style. I've never read fiction written this way at least that I can remember. New author. The previous book I read was Hope's Highest Mountain by Misty M. Beller another new author, I was hoping to finish it in 2020 but did not accomplish it. Both of these authors have been added to my very, very long list of favorites.

Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe (Just the poetry for now, but I'll have to do the stories soon to understand the craft).

Reading the Chronicles of Narnia right now. It's probably been 15 years or more since I read the whole thing.

I'm reading "Breaking Free" by Beth Moore. I got it for free on Kindle a long time ago (as in, probably two or more years ago) and just never read it. It is wonderful so far! I love the way she talks about how close a walk we can have with Jesus and how to break free of the things holding us back from having that joy.

I'm currently reading "Breathing Underwater" by Richard Rohr. It's a 12 step book that I'm really enjoying, it's been really nurturing for my soul overall.

Yay! I have done my good deed for the month. It's so wonderful. I'm glad that you're enjoying it. I don't know what you've all read by L.M. Montgomery, but if you like her writing, there's lots of good stuff out there. Her short stories are less well known and many of them are very good. There's a huge range in the types of stories.
