What is your favorite series of books?

I would have to say The Chronicles of Narnia because they're just classics. I also really enjoy The Cat Who... mystery series by Lilian Jackson Braun.

Favorite tv show?

I really like the MacGyver reboot on CBS. Also all of the superhero shows on the CW, especially Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash.

Favorite city?

Gonna have to quote David Straussberg here: "It's Chicago! What's not to like?! The Cubs, the pizza, the graffiti..."

If you could do anything tomorrow, what would you do?

Probably hang out at a museum or zoo all day.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Probably Norway. My grandmother's family is from there, and I've always wanted to see it.

What are three word you would use to describe yourself?

Hmmm... quirky, funloving, and perfectionistic I guess??

Does apple cider count? If not, I'll pick orange juice.

What's the funniest thing Ollie does?

He laughs like a human. And sometimes at uncannily appropriate moments. O.o He also purrs like a cat when he's happy.

Favorite tea?

My standard go-to's are Tazo Wild Sweet Orange, Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime, and the herbal fruit tea sampler from Celestial Seasonings.

How do you like your tea and coffee?

Tea: STRONG--I usually leave it steeping for at least 30 minutes. Nothing in it.
Coffee: bold, with flavored creamer. Iced in the summer.

Favorite and least favorite ice cream?

Favorite: Chocolate Cookie Crumble from Kroger
Least favorite: Pistachio, probably. Really, anything too nutty.

If I had to pick just one, I'd probably say a dog.

Travel!

What's your happiest memory?

This is a tough one, as I would say I've had a pretty happy life. One that stands out is going to see Hamilton with my sister. I laughed, cried and sang along with the cast throughout the entire first act, and I feel so sorry for the poor person who had so sit next to me.

What is a character quality you admire in other people that you wish you had?

I really admire people with confidence. I tend to back down on so many things I want to do because I feel I'm not good enough. I so admire people who have the confidence and courage to just go for it!

What is a skill you wish you had?

Playing the guitar!

What NYC landmark would you want to see the most?

1. I've actually visited NYC quite a few times, so I've seen most of the typical tourist landmarks. As far as favorites go, though, I really love the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. It's such a powerful and moving experience to see it. And Times Square is just incredible. Nothing else like it in my book.
2. Not so much a single verse, as a chapter: Isaiah 55. It reminds me that I need to trust and rest in the fact that God's thoughts, ways and plans are always infinitely better than mine.

1. I used to be super into crafting, though not so much anymore. I went through a soap- and candle-making phase in high school--not sure how I got into that. My neighbor taught me how to crochet, and I've made a few scarves and hats and things, but I'm not that great at it. I've been figure skating off and on since junior high (anybody seen the movie Ice Princess? ). I was actually really involved in teaching beginner classes and testing to be able to compete on an adult track for a while, but a still-unresolved injury has kept me sidelined from it for a while. I've also always enjoyed writing--short stories, novels, poetry, blog posts, you name it. I have a blog I've been meaning to get back to for years, and I also write a little AIO fanfic, which you can find on fanfiction.net or on the SS when it opens back up.
2. Ha! Okay, so this is definitely not my FAVORITE, because it's actually quite embarrassing, but it's funny, so... SO. It was SuperBowl Sunday, and a professor at my university had me and few friends over after church in advance of their SuperBowl party that evening. We had just finished lunch and decided to go exploring in the small patch of woods behind the house. Our host's final words to us before we departed were, "Don't fall in the creek!" WELL. I bet you'll never guess what happened to me...
